Re: ADELAIDE UNITED 2012
I am getting a bit sick of the A-League. Players constantly change teams, some guys fly in for one season and then leave, now Flores gets sold even though he didn't want to go.

Yeah but losing the comps best player to some relegation threatened unknown team from Asia is a kick in the teeth to the competition.
The A League was set up to improve the playing stocks in this country and to stop the better players going overseas.
It's always going to happen but shouldn't be losing players to clubs of that calibre.

Re: ADELAIDE UNITED 2012
DARIO Vidosic will today be announced as Adelaide Uniteds latest signing.
The fringe Socceroo was hastily signed to a three-year deal in a crazy 24 hours for Adelaide, after the Reds missed out on signing a Dutch import yesterday.
Sources close to Vidosic revealed that the attacking midfielder - who has had stints in Germany since bursting on the A-League scene in 2006 - would be the latest addition to the Red squad today.

So for those who have an intricate knowledge of the ins and outs, how are we looking for next season? 2 or 3 good pick ups, but how do they compare to the outs?

Re: ADELAIDE UNITED 2012
Losing Flores is a disaster, but Dodd is neither here nor there.
IMO, we've strengthened brilliantly, with most other sides getting weaker / staying the same.
I think us, Sydney and Brissy will be the teams to beat this season.

Sydney? Really?
I think Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and CCM will be the teams to beat this coming season.

Re: ADELAIDE UNITED 2012
Flores and Leckie really the only major losses out of the old squad. Rini has cleared out most of the players from the Vidmar era and replaced them with International standard players that are very experienced. Vidosic, Mckain, Levchencko, Djite, Caravella, Dilevski are strong signings for any A league side. Hope to see Slory integrated with the team and in form cause he served up some crap last season.
Perth should be good after signing quality "A Leaguers", Brisbane should continue to be strong as they kept the majority of the title winning side together.
Should be a great season, hopefully the fans come out and support the league cause the standard is ever improving.

Re: ADELAIDE UNITED 2012
The article in today's paper has a list of players who will be at the club this upcoming season. Certainly a few unfamiliar names, and bit of a "foreign legion".
The online version of the article isn't as extensive but does have a little bit of information..

Re: ADELAIDE UNITED 2012
Love it!! that away kit looks great.
Mckain as captain is a funny choice though, thought Galakovic would have been first choice as he'd be one of the more experienced player from the old squad and hes a great on field leader between the sticks too.
Im sure Rini knows what hes doing though

New Membership add for the club, pretty good
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Do they have "seasons tickets" for United games, if so, what sort of cost is involved?

Yeah, they start at $234 which is a rip I reckon. Victory have ST's for $199!

No thank heavens!
He was on the team-sheet for Luton Town for their blue square play off final last season, don't think he played at all though.
