Mate im telling you I would be shocked if they wanted to go to div 4...Could only be for one reason..Finance and I couldnt shed any light on that as im not on the committee...
And no Scotty has been dusty's right hand man along with Wilbur coaching the A grade. All three played a massive part in the Div 2 premiership..Scotty has been relied on more and more since then as his coaching talents have developed specially with the young kids.
Thats why they appointed him as Dusty's successor...natural choice and a good one for the rocky road ahead...
How long has Dusty been the A Gade coach at EP? I also presume the exodus of some players to YPFL in 2012 wouldn't have helped the clubs cause.

Lagonik is 0 points as he is a Scotch boy who played juniors at PHOSC.

Bout 4 years I reckon, he was a straight swap with Carey Payne and Brahma Lodge. Obviously losing the calibre of players they did was going to hurt, you gotta hand it to them though, they have a small clubhouse, their oval is less than desirable but they've made it to where only 1 other NMFL club has been without pokies and just a handful of supporters putting their own hard earned in to attract players. Going into their clubrooms and reading their boards they have structure and pride.

I thought they did the hard yards and got belted for a few successive seasons til they dropped to div. 6 and then re-emerged with the aid of an ex-Kilburn coach who's name escapes me, the Jax clothing man?

My memory has Salsibury West & Salisbury North as the only other NMFL sides to play Div 2 and they both have pokies

I think that's the highest any have been.
I played against Elizabeth when at Walkerville in the 90s (97 IIRC) and the Cats were never below div 3 so i think you will find that Elizabeth have been in div 3 and i have the scars to prove it
The PNU Falcs 2005,06,13 x 2,14 and Div 1 Premiers in 2019......The SA 3peat - 2003,04,05

That may have been during the P1 & P2, A1 & A2 etc so probably equated to Div 4 or 5
I could be wrong but i dont think so. Pretty sure it was under the current set up in 97. Elizabeth from memory did get relegated but thats a long time ago. I only remember that game so well because their huge ruckmans elbow visited my face and i ended up needing stitches on my checek bone and that began the slippery slope from potential super model to old fat ugly bloke...transition complete

No more Jeff Herd and maybe changing culture towards player payments?
Lagonik is a 0. They've recruited well. One of the boys listed off a bunch of recruits, unfortunately 1 too many vodka raspberries deep at that stage and can only remember those 2. Said about 5 blokes.

I thought that scar came from Johnboy's nose
No mate, worlds worst headbut ended up with his nose nearly poking out my eyeball. Alas i have never tried one since some 13 or 14 years later.

Thanks for that. Obviously have been doing it the hard way. Just curious now, what makes reading their boards different from any other club? Are these honour rolls etc or something else?

Player expectations, training dates, attendance records, club rules and yes they are very big on acknowledging their award winners, photo's take up a fair bit of wall space.

A good culture is felt the moment you walk into a footy club....If you walk in and dont get that instinctive footy feeling of "goose bumps and nerves" and a sense of "pride and history" then more than likely its not going to be a thriving environment...(not always but on most occassions).... (Great premiership pic's straight after the victory show's the raw emotions and there are a few of those lining the walls also)...
