Yep, massive talent. Was averaging 73 in first class cricket before he was selected. Only 22 and an absolute star.whufc wrote:Yep what a bloody innings Jaiswal.
Think we’re going to have to get use to watching him bat, his going to do it a bit.

Not really, cricket is between the ears and the Indians held nerve.norwood8 wrote:Bar some players turning it around in the second innings, who else do we have that could do any better? Green is the only one I can think of that could’ve made a difference and he’s injured…
You would assume Head and Marsh will only be better for the run after not playing enough recently, but the others above them are a real worry.
Bumrah is in a class of his own when it comes to pace bowling, obviously took it to another level when taking on the captaincy.
I don't think we could've picked a better XI, no one deserved being dropped and hopefully CA treats our home test series with a bit more respect in the future, the lack of shield games played by players in the team is concerning, leave the ODD til after the BBL and get red ball cricket up and running.

At least having played for the red backs for a few seasons McSweeney will be accustomed to this sort of match position when he finally gets second bat.

100% this. Our test blokes needed a harder build up to the series. Come the 3rd test they will be good to go. But probably down 0-2.Lightning McQueen wrote:Not really, cricket is between the ears and the Indians held nerve.norwood8 wrote:Bar some players turning it around in the second innings, who else do we have that could do any better? India rebuilding well or better than the Ozzies
Ozzies need to recover and win this series , as the future looks bleak when the awesome 4some bowling attack retire

Re: Australian International Summer 2024/25
Not really Cummins fault given the conditions but Kohli getting to face 15 of his first 20 balls from Mitch Marsh has set him up here.
Kohli couldn’t have dreamed of that whilst out of form.

Gotta win the seriesanother grub wrote:Some big changes needed . Who the first to go?
So if there is a rotation or injury to the quicks you play Boland or Neser
If the series is dead you play Spencer Lightning JjJjJjJjJjJjohnson or Lance Lightning MmMmMMMmMMmMmMMorris
The sandgroper Roc looks a very good offie ,as does Todd Murphy, so there is potential when the Goat retires
With the batting- there is literally no one better than the 6 we have- so you stick with them
Konstas is a possibility if he makes more runs this domestic season
Inglis next best batsman and he is a keeper
Jayden Goodwin is making runs , but not seen him
There may be a couple of others in the domestic comp- that Im unaware of ?

Re: Australian International Summer 2024/25
Lyon knocks over DC, got them on the ropes leading by only 459!
Given how the Indians have batted it's clear the pitch has flattened out and is now better for batting so even though we will most likely lose there's really no excuse for the top 6 to not get runs and/or bat for sole decent time (but it may not be that simple when they have to face Bumrah with a new Kookaburra with a reinforced seam lol).
