Stick by my comments Jimmy and they were all soft college boys. Come on let us know why you changed from one lot of softies to the other. What happened Jimmy they would not let you pick up the soap in the shower anymore???
Just out of interest why do you believe there's a correlation between "college" and "soft".
I'm sure the Assumption College boys that go on to play AFL aren't soft. That's just one example. Just because, in general, college sides aren't dirty they get branded as soft by District sides that normally have at least one psycho that goes head hunting.....
The Big Shrek wrote:Ha ha ha, that's probably why the AFL is soft now. Too many college boys.
Emerson, college teams are labelled soft because they don't get hard balls. They win games by swooping on loose balls like seagulls.
There is not much difference hardness wise in Div 1 & 2 between the college and district sides. Most of the div 1 & 2 sides are quick, skillfull and hard sides which = a good side. The quicker the lower district sides stop recruiting meat heads and start recruiting blokes that can play and are at the club for the right reasons the quicker they will get upto div 1 & 2.

Great club sides like Kilburn would maul you blokes. Soft as butter.
Hey Jimmy the user named usernameandpassword is in no way associated with Kilburn nor would we allow such a character into our Club. You may have all the digs you like because at least you are an open poster. This other person is a deadset shjt stirrer that is clubless friendless and looking for acknowledgment from nototiety. Ignore him at all costs or he will stick around, heaven forbid.

Anyway, getting back to something about div 2 and not personal bickering, yes Darnell was at Gum but has returned. Hopefully Ashby is coming back too although would be on NO cash if he did I would say.
BH, would he be up to consistent Div 1, we've got a bit left we might be able to fit him in just 'cause we can!
I honestly believe he would star at div 1 level. Has the ability to play league footy. Spoke to Pesch after last years GF and he was adament he belongs at a league club...good luck getting him motivated to do that tho...
Nearly Was wrote:Boozehound you have to be joking Ashby for no cash given what you have paid Wilson and Calyon to get them away from Kilburn. How do the non paid players out at EP feel about two guys getting more from you than Kilburn could pay them!
oh is that right oh wise one....What are we paying them to "drag" them away from a club they were so keen to play at again?
BoozeHound your constant digs at us given your background is quite interesting. At least one of the players was offered a substantial sign on fee as well as very good match payments. Kilburn couldn't match the figure hence feral city got him.
Constant digs, are you on drugs? you brought up the fact we paid them a heap of cash and I asked you to back it up with an amount seeings you are in the know. I know Willow was never really in the mix to return to Kilburn....
I have a good relationship with Ocker and have no reason to have "constant digs" at kilburn. You are over sensitive and constantly on the defensive on here. EP's player payments wouldn't have amounted to half of yours last year (and I can gaurantee you that) and we still beat you....QUIT MOANING.
Saw some of training last night at Broadview Oval, almost 40 on the track. Skillwise we look pretty confident, picked up some real solid blokes by the look, should help make a prescence in Div 2, all looking ok at this stage. Can't wait to watch how they go this year. Not putting ourselves right up there now, but it looks like an exciting season ahead.

Not sure mate, i know he has been talking to both clubs involved, us and Willaston. Given us a huge amount of service and we would love to keep him on the park, especially this year with a ripper team by the looks of it, but as usual, how can you compete agains the money on offer.
