is Plympton the first team this year to fail at kicking 40 plus goals on Kilburn ???
Probably the first team to play them in wintery conditions also...

Can we anoint Unley as champions at the halfway mark? Not yet, they are very impressive, but an injury to White or Wark might just change things.
Does Kilburn continue for the remainder of the season now that they have made it to the halfway point? Most of us cannot see the point, I even didn't go and watch Modbury on the weekend because the result was a forgone conclusion, but happy I went to Port Reserve, TTG v Portland a good game of footy.
Are Pembroke a serious threat to Unley this year? Perhaps, big test this week v Modbury, might tell us more.
Is Steve Carr the Paul Roos of SAAFL? Who
Thoughts on umpires?
I think they have been very good, Modbury person obviously, but even the three games they have lost, I thought the umpiring was fine. I do think too many people expect too much and can't look at the umpiring impartially. Only 1 umpire in 1 game failed to impress me and haven't see Hitler since.
What is it with the college teams? By now every club must have been supplied with their FREE uniforms for club umpires. However, in recent weeks we have played 2 college teams where their club umpires ( boundary and goal ) have been wearing clothing that looks nothing like official uniforms, new or old. This is not the first time that this has happened. Also, during the B grade game on Saturday a guy was running around on the field with a white shirt on, with no markings on it. Turns out he was their runner, and with the amount of time that he spent on the oval each quarter, he probably should have been wearing a Guernsey. At half time he was asked to put on a fluro top and was also queried as to why he needed to spend 17 minutes of 22 on the field. Isn't it a $100 fine for umpires and runners not being correctly attired?
I understand it's a rule, but the new umpires uniforms provide for a bit of a clash when teams with dominant white away strips (North Haven, PNU, Salisbury) play away games.

We didin't report it to the league, because thats not what we are about. Just asking a question to see why these teams feel they do not have to follow the rules.

They were not even wearing the old uniforms, which are to be used in a clash (there was no clash what so ever). Perhaps they want the uniform changed to a dark blue jumper like they were wearing.

If the umpires are informed that one team is wearing white then they will be instructed to wear orange.
