I reckon it is 3rd club in 4 years.

2017 at North Adelaide - Reserves
2018 at Pooraka FC - Division 4 SAAFL
2019 at South Adelaide - Reserves + 2 x League games
2020 at Central District - Will be a depth player IMHO

We have definitely recruited well in numbers but will be interesting to see what sort of quality.

The last two recruits the South bloke and the NTFL Thunder guy have played alot more ressies than league football which doesnt stack up greatly to being a successful SANFL league player.

I'm optimistic but very cautious.

Joel Budarick, (the NTFL Thunder guy), to be fair, did play every game in the NEAFL League team after his debut (he only turned 18 in September), plus he was co-captain of the NT Under 18 Academy team and played 18 league games of the 2018/19 NT summer for Nightcliff, culminating in winning the premiership. Not a bad pick-up.

Joel Budarick, (the NTFL Thunder guy), to be fair, did play every game in the NEAFL League team after his debut (he only turned 18 in September), plus he was co-captain of the NT Under 18 Academy team and played 18 league games of the 2018/19 NT summer for Nightcliff, culminating in winning the premiership. So you're basically saying he's a good pick for your twos thid s year and maybe if he hangs around he'll play some league footy in 2021 and maybe by 2022 he could be a league regular - once he's learned how to play Senior league footy

The lack of basic footy knowledge of structures and relative skills under pressure up here compared to SANFL league footy is massive.

Quick I grant you but the footy NEAFL is SANFL ressies standard and NTFL SANFL U/18s.

Don't get me wrong there are league footballers up here but they're like unicorn sh!t very uncommon. Average player up here would struggle to play SANFL 18s

Brett came to South as Michael Handby coached him at North and he was looking to play. Had good consistent reserves form and played 2 league games. Averaged a touch under 2 goals a game. Did not have an impact and was dropped. Tries hard but we have our fair share of small forwards. Still traveled from the dark side of town which is a big commitment without regular league footy,

Hope it goes well for him.

I wouldn't rule him out playing a fair bit of league football this season; you don't become NT Under 18 captain without ability. The following players have all come through the NT Thunder Academy: Cyril Rioli (Hawthorn), Xavier and Raphael Clarke (St Kilda), Daniel Rioli (Richmond), Jed Anderson (North Melbourne), Steven Motlop (Geelong), Nakia Cockatoo (Geelong), Zac Bailey (Brisbane).

Our issue is lack of elite players who can significantly impact on a game. Daniel Menzel is one such player, takes us to 5.... still short by two or three.

Carnelly will just be happy Laird is gone so he can wear long sleeves

Boyd was the one I didn't add, based on his last season.
You are right on Pres... also guys like Furnell, Dew, McLean and Fort. Several guys have not stepped up to that next level over the last 2 or 3 years and under a different coach/approach and a does of luck with injuries (esp Dew, Furnell and Connor) might yet be ready to become that impact player they can be.
