Some bloke reckons we are going into a 3 day lock down to be announced at the 12.30 presser. I am suspicious of the reliability of his source...

Yeah, would have though a lockdown would need to be much longer than that

3 days will be helpful in terms of letting the testers get through all the close contacts and work out who has it directly.

Then based on how many that number is, they might say we are happy we've contained it.
Or they come back and say nup, this is already "out" beyond our containment lines and we are doing the 4 week lockdown.

I recon its almost certain a 3 day lockdown would be extended, but I'd guess that's the logic behind it.

Its also a nicer way of easing us into it. 3 days? sure, I can do that. After day 3, that wasn't so bad, ok 14 is do-able.

Where as you wack us with 14 right now and everyone will go bonkers! haha

Im the same, give it to me straight and I can make informed decisions as a result.

But the vast majority in society are the types that need to be taken there in baby steps.

Agreed.
Sometimes I wish I did something useful with my life such that I'd be in the meetings making decisions that actually matter.
Othertimes I'm happy I can spend all day on SA Footy haha

Wife works in the CBD and her work has banned all use of PT and car pooling.
Staff have to drive in own vehicles as of today and half staff are WFH

Driving in the city this morning at peak hour and it was very quiet on the road.
Lots of people staying home today already.

My gym was just told by a passing patrol unit that they are about to announce a ban on outdoor training of groups in carparks and PTs training from home.

So obviously we're about to get hit with a whole bunch of new restrictions.

Hope I'm wrong as I'm rostered on for 2.30am closes on Thursday and Friday nights. :YMPRAY:

Its only incompetent to a certain section of the public, other will feel their incompetent because a lockdown is to extreme, others will think a lockdown is too early.

Any decision they make different to the status quo is going to be deemed incompetent to a section of the community.

I'm with Wedgie here, if you seen Marshall's interview last week on our oversea's travelers it reeked of complacency and invincibility, things turned to shit and he shuts gyms (where there have been no known community transmissions) decreases public gatherings and lowers numbers in pubs.

I'd hazard a guess and most of the cluster wouldn't even frequent a pub yet they'd probably go to Costco in their droves and lean all over each other to grab a bargain.
I am also with Wedgie, this and been stuffed massively by Marshall and Spurrier.

Pretty much exactly the same mistakes that Melbourne made. Casual workers, working multiple jobs and from large families.

Incredible to think the staff weren't getting tested.

Just go full lockdown for 4 weeks and get it over and done with. I have no issue with it. By then, we'll all be ready to party at Xmas time.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.
