I also note PAC is down (ostensibly) to four teams (when they were talking up 6).
I suspect this isn't going to be the last fixture we see!

I count 5 - 2/2R, 7/7R and C2???
Going upto D7 will mean 8 less players get a game each week (vs 25 man squads in Div8) so no way they will be dropping back to 4 teams.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

Re: Ch9 AFL Division 7 - 2015
So byes in both Div 7 and Div 8. And as teams drop out during the season, you could pick up another bye (or two if they go before you play them).
Would the league look at combining 7&8, playing all 18 teams in the one grade.
Play each team once for 17 rounds, then go to a final 8 system (IE AFL not SANFL system) played over 4 weeks.
That way there are fewer byes in the program, and if a side drops out you don't get stung twice.
With 14ish of the 18 teams C's and D's you can then play it all under c/d rules (extended bench, no time on, etc). That further assists teams with players able to double up easier to ensure they keep both teams going during the year.
Would be interested to hear others thoughts on it (sorry if it's already been mentioned, haven't been following the threads that closely over summer).

^^^Would be way too much of a score discrepancy between the top and bottom teams.
D8 looks like it will be pretty stable.

Maybe more players will play soccer in the future because there will be no grounds, teams and player's left playing football if things continue at this rate, a lot of junior's are already playing soccer now instead of football.
1. The Amateur League is on target to increase total player numbers in 2015.
2. How many juniors did Wingfield field?
We have to see if that it true - Blackwood, Wingfield out, Salisbury West down to 1 team or none. Mitchell Park. Kilburn, Flinders back to 2 teams, so we have wait see on make up c/d teams to see it has increased or de-creased. Should not matter if you don't have juniors as long as they can fill a senior side in a senior comp. If they had junior's your club would try and poach them and you could play in you super junior red comp with about 4 or 5 other clubs.
"poach". Spare me.
I brought up juniors because you did.
There will be more overall registered players. Just like there were last year.
Less teams nominated so far, we have to wait and see if that changes.

Hopefully this encourages the League to look at promotion and relegation for C Grade teams between Div 8 and Div 7. No point in having a dominant Div 8 C Grade side with one in Div 7 struggling to win a game.
Having said that, I would expect Modbury, PAC and Adelaide Uni all to go ok in Div 7.
I wonder how much we can infer about the viability of C Grades to remain in Div 7 where all remaining Div 7 Clubs have 5+ sides?
