Pooraka v Eastern Pk - Pooraka need to win and hope CLG beat Smithfield to finish 5th. Eastern Park need to win by over 100 points and Smithfield to lose by over 100 points to have any chance.
CLG v Smithfield - CLG win and they finish 3rd, if they lose and Salisbury beat Rosewater then they finish 4th. If Smithfield win they will finish 5th lose and then they are hoping cross town rival Eastern pk win.
Yeah i know, but surely Kenilworth cant lose to West Croydon after knocking off Lockleys lol
I’ll bet you any money that Kenilworth will not lose to West Croydon this week......
Whoops Fitzroy i mean lol
Hahaha all good.
I personally think the top 5 will have a new incomer this week in Pooraka. Smithfield will need to beat a team South of the City away for the first time since 2016 v CLG at home to get a gig (That would be a fair shock given what CLG are playing for this week) and Pooraka I think will beat Eastern Park at home.

Smithfield win they are in, Smithfield lose and Pooraka lose Smithfield play finals. I can see Smiffies pulling one out of the hat and knocking off CLG, hopefully I'm wrong plus PFC have a win. To be honest it's just been great to watch footy, it hasn't happened everywhere. From what i have seen I'd be surprised if Kenilworth and Lockleys didn't play off in the GF.
Personally been a fan about the way clubs have gone about business this year for 99% of the time. The way the league has got the comp up and running and the evolving communications have been handled exceptionally well In my opinion. JK and team have done a magnificent job to date.
The Standard this year in the A’s overall has improved a fair bit and so it should with less players going country. I’ve seen 2 and possibly 3 games this year in particular that at this level showed as good as the best intensity I’ve seen in a while and most of the time you get those games once a year in the minor rounds. I will say though that the overall standard in the reserves comp drops away quickly and I think that’s a reflection on covid taking its toll on how many next tier players are somewhat committed.

Poor ressies shouldn’t come as a surprise - it was pretty lopsided last year, and lost PFC & HVFV who were both top 5, and WC and FIT came up who traditionally don’t have a strong B grade, and also Pooraka who went winless last year in D4R.
Should come as no surprise that the clubs who haven’t got a C grade struggle to field strong B grade sides.. that extra 30-40 blokes makes a huge difference.

We haven’t got a C grade....

A win at CLG would be near impossible for a team that would never have played there previously.

Temp 23 winds Northerly, best side wins. Hopefully CLG win the toss and kick 10 in the first kicking to the club end, then PFC need to turn up and beat EP. Big ifs but you gotta love the final game scenario. Might just get pissed
If you think the wind is normally bad around the Southern metro area then wait till you see the Northerly come through - Happens once maybe twice a year and causes havoc. CLG to continue Smithfield’s winless streak South of the City since the 2016 finals series, Pooraka to just get over EP and I reckon West Croydon will be hard work for 2-3 quarters at home v Lockleys.
Hoping for no injuries to anyone as this is going to be a very good finals series and it’ll be great to see all clubs with as much talent on the park as possible.
