With my math that means three clubs will have three byes and four clubs will have two byes. Which also means playing some teams three times and other only twice.
Pardon my lack of maths but if you play the other teams 3 times isn't that 18 rounds.
There's seven teams. Who does the seventh team play each week?

Sorry Q, but isn't your team the 7th and you play the other 6 teams 3 times, ie, you play Angle Vale, Mitchell Pk, Adelaide Uni, SPOC, Flinders Uni and Salisbury West 3 times and that's 18. Not rocket science.

An odd number of teams mean one team has a bye every week. The other six teams play. After seven rounds every team has had a bye and every team has played each other once.
Basically, a seven team comp doesn't fit into 18 rounds very well.
Now I get it Q. Told you pardon my maths. Thanks. What a friggin' nightmare if this is what happens. Just looking at Salisbury West and they are interesting. They played 33 players in their A's last year in Div 4 and 19 have been either cleared or are pending. That leaves 14 who played Div 4 last year. Add some of their good juniors list and they could carve Div 7 a new one this year.

I think you will find a lot of the 14 players still to be cleared.

Pac should play div 7 after winning grade 8, Uni could play div 8 with there 5 / 6 side, or maybe they are trying to win c1,c2,c3. What happens if Uni say we are not playing on div 7, after only being the only "c" grade side left.

The original fixture, 9 teams in each of D6, D7 & D8 was perfect.

Yeah understand what might be happening out there DJ we went through it last year. They still have 7 players who played in the Div 4 Grand Final in limbo and if they keep them they would still be good material in Div 7. From us southerners and oblivious to what goes on in your boys neck of the woods, what's happening with the McIntyre family at Westies.

So why doesn't the league force that issue Q, am I missing something? This C grade 'super league' has merit, but for me a comp like that should be 'C' grade teams only and not D's E's and how many teams you can muster up. It really makes Adelaide Uni look more and more the professional club they are.

I don't know why it was changed. I could only speculate on the reasons.

I was told Blondie Mcintyre (old man) is the coach, I thought maybe his 3 boy's might have stayed and helped him try save the club. I no they have left before to play else where and returned but the club's best chance to survive is to be in div 7 and rebuild like other clubs have. If they get flogged in div 7 there might be no coming back. If you have ever played Salisbury West in Football & Cricket Blondie would always be there playing or involved in some way.
Salisbury West / North Pines playing at different grounds according to the fixture? At least MP and FU played at the same ground when we did the split last year.
