Watched all 6 episodes of "Derek" on the weekend with Ricky Gervais and Karl Pilkington.

Wasn't what I expected, but enjoyed it as it was quite serious and emotional in spots. Still plenty of laughs but it had another dimension Gervais doesnt normally offer.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

I also enjoyed Derek, had a good mix of serious stuff and laughs. It's worth watching just to see the egg with sideburns on tv again.

Good TV Shows I have watched recently

Hell On Wheels - A semi revenge tale based in a camp building the railroad across America
The Killing - US version (apparently Dutch version better, but CBF with subtitles) murder mystery with plenty of twists and plots, good lead characters.

Saw on the tv this morning that the Madden (Joel?) who is on THE VOICE won a Logie for something like "best new talent".

What a joke the Australian tv industry, and Australian voting public is, if that is the case!

I can't stand those glorified karaoke nights. They show people that you don't have to get your chops by playing live shows until you get noticed, but they cut corners and get famous quickly.
Politicians kissing babies for good luck,
TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.
You don't need no golden cross to tell you wrong from right,
The world's worst murderers were those who saw the light.
