Agree, well done to those responsible.FootyFanatic wrote:I haven't seen any club financials posts so thought I would post Sturt's annual profit here.
2025 year $ 607,388-00 12 years in a row.
The club has invested around $ 3 Million in Unley Oval facilities plus another $ 360,000-00 towards a perimeter fence with 16 access gates for the community this year.
A pretty impressive effort no matter what club you support.

Given the predicament they faced some time ago to be the power house on and off field they are now is a credit to every one who steers the club forward.FootyFanatic wrote:I haven't seen any club financials posts so thought I would post Sturt's annual profit here.

Re: SANFL 2026
Unbelievable financial results for Sturt have positioned them very nicely. But the big challenge remains to relocate their gaming venue out of necessity, as the building will make way for an apartment complex soon. Not easy to relocate pokies in South Australia, as a range of conditions need to be met. But the President has hinted that a couple of options are being looked at. He's also indicated borrowings may be needed.

Re: SANFL 2026
Unfortunately, that's not the true financial situation.MannyK wrote:Norwood made a $456,658 profit.
The auditor's Financial Statement shows a profit of $456,658; but it won't be until the AGM (on Thursday 12/2) that the real value will be revealed.
For comparison, in 2024 the auditor's Financial Statement showed a profit of $608155, but the report at the AGM was a loss of $97717.
Between the auditor doing their work and the club informing the members there are a whole lot of mysterious activities (adding back depreciation, removing the 'Build The Fort deficit', removing losses due to scrapping assets, multiplying by the number of teeth your grandma has, removing some sponsorship money, etc etc etc).
I hope to be able to report back after the AGM tomorrow.
Don't look at me in that tone of voice.

Re: SANFL 2026
Well the ABC have announced they've secured the VFL tv and radio rights going forward.nwdfanparade wrote:I would rather have the ABC telecast the SANFL. At least they broadcasted a game in every round (and no adverts.DOC wrote:They have ceased because the AFL plays EVERY VFL a game live on its channels, leaving C7 unable to make it viable.Eagles2014 wrote:In a worrying sign going forward for the SANFL, Channel 7 look like they will not be covering the VFL this year after 50 years of coverage. The comp will die a slow death if that ever happens here, and as much as people on here will disagree with this, if Crows and Port left the comp that would definitely be the end of Channel 7 showing SANFL

Good news for the league.
SANFL has extended its long-standing partnership with the Seven Network securing a new long-term broadcast agreement that ensures live and free coverage of the Hostplus SANFL League on Seven and 7plus Sport.

I'd rather have the ABC doing the SANFL. In past seasons, ch7 hasn't always telecast a game from every round.pmackk wrote:Good news for the league.

Re: SANFL 2026
Re the Channel 7 deal. How long is it? Is there anything that gives 7 an out if the Crows & Port pull out of the competition? Is the SANFL paying, or being paid, anything for the privilege?

Re: SANFL 2026
How long is a piece of string? That’s a weird press release which is intriguingly lacking in detail given the construct of previous arrangements where the SANFL was effectively paying for someone to broadcast the comp rather than receive any $$ for the broadcasting rights..
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.
