Taking that a step further - has there ever been 2 players in the same side kick 100 or more goals in a season.
Year from memory good old Callington pre merge where losing by 60-70 goals. Apparently Qunno kicked 40 in a game and i seem to recall Micky Ashby having some sort of goal kicking record in a game but thay would have been when it has happened.
The Great Malcolm Blight and Bob Beecroft where on course to do it in the early 80s for the Woodville Peckers so Blighty moved Bobby to full back for the second half of the year

What an amazing history at Woodville, loved it.
Woodville's captain in their last game was popular veteran Ralph Sewer (regular captain Romano Negri was in the team but stepped aside for the last game to give Sewer the honor). The 38-year-old Sewer who was playing his 382nd and last game of SANFL football. "Zip Zap" as he was known, made his league debut with Woodville in 1969 and was playing his 325th game for the club. He was Woodville's leading goal kicker in 1975, and had won the club's best & Fairest award in 1978, the same year he was awarded with Life Membership from the club and Player Life Membership from the SANFL. Sewer, who had played 57 games for perennial contenders Glenelg from 1981–84, is the only player to have played in four decades of football in the SANFL.

I reckon Quinno kicked 40.15 and Ashby also brought up his 100 in the same game.Lightning McQueen wrote:83 onwardsMr Beefy wrote:*Warriorswristwatcher wrote:

Pretty sure he was one of, if not the only, grandfather to play SANFL

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Have loved keeping up with all the CU predictions and goss over the season it's been entertaining..
But we are getting on the front foot to help be as prepared as possible, Central United are looking for a football director for the 2025 season. With the young group of kids we have this role is important in moving forward to ensure old mate Fenwick and myself can put our hours in to other areas of the club.
If you feel you have what it takes to be a football director please send an application through.
Knappy will kick his 100 this week in front of his Dwight Reserve crowd he won't save it for Mofflin.

Massive day at Dwight today, Christopher kicks the 100th in a loss. A fabulous year unfolding in Six, some absolutely outstanding individual brilliance in a few teams, a balanced no ego team sitting top, will be interesting to see if the Magpies can find enough individual brilliance in the big games or if the superstars at Eastern Park, Fitzroy or Ingle Farm can lift their respective teams on the day.

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Knappy earnt his 3 goals yesterday, was some very tight defending on him all day. But was just too big on the lead and took his chances from tricky angles.
But Salisbury just look unstoppable, clearly fitter than anyone else and it’s their flag to lose.

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Congrats to Knapp on his 100 - and likewise Mansell and Rosenthal, incredible effort.
Final ladders are just about set..
Week 1 finals:
Eastern Park
D6: Eastern Park vs Fitzroy
D6R: Eastern Park vs Ingle Farm
C6: Adelaide Uni vs Salisbury
Ingle Farm
D6: Ingle Farm vs Houghton / St Pauls
D6R: Adelaide Lutheran vs Rosewater
C6: Adelaide Lutheran vs Para Hills
St Paul's should beat Lutheran this week, but a lot of people thinking Houghton could cause an upset over Fitzroy - i'm not sure on that.

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Good watch the EP/Salisbury game. The part i love about ammo/country footy is getting to watch a couple of completely different styles go up against one another. Just don't see enough of that at the higher levels of the game, it a lot more subtle.
Salisbury will obviously take a lot of confidence from winning on the smaller Dwight reserve. Salisbury's pace allowed them to get the first football when it hit the outside. They obviously work real hard as well. At times able to get enough numbers infront of the ball to defend and still create space over the back for the likes of Barmby to run into when going forward.
The ruck battle was great to watch. Marsden on top early at the stoppages getting the subtle touches to his midfield (some were sublime) but as the game went on Duncan(???) was able to jump over the top of the EP rucks and get the ball on the outside of the stoppage into space. Duncan offered a fair bit more around the ground as well. Will be interesting to see how EP set up against that next time.
Going to be a great finals series. Been an enjoyable watch this year.
