I have heard they're keen for cricket though, caught up with Ray-Ray during the footy season - reckons they're trying to recruit heavily as well to impact D1.
Yep, I've heard the same, well seen it on FB.
I wonder where Benny will play?
According to Facebook Benny is at EP but that has happened every year and its never turned out.

Not sure if he really cares, he is the "River" in Riverside though.
If he was half keen he'd try district cricket, the lad can play, I reckon he broke my arm one day while I was batting, I had an egg on it the size of an orange, I managed to accidentally slice a full toss at over gully and into the Smithfield playground one day from his sheer pace in the same innings.

Yeah he could definitely have a crack at district.
True story. Roughly 15 years ago for one year in the PDCA the Elizabeth Down SC had a Saturday div (something low) team. A fair few of us younger lads from EP went across to play there to which I captained the side.
As a new side we were struggling for numbers and my best mate at the time who was an A grade soccer player at the Downs Tom Radford had two 15(?) year old lads who hadn't played competitive cricket but were super keen and had enough talent and confidence to 'survive' senior cricket despite never playing before.
Knowing we couldn't have two 15 year olds doing nothing in the side as they would just quit we decided one who was slightly better at batting would open and the other who had a bit of raw pace but couldn't control the ball could get the new ball and scare a few lower grade players.
Matt Marsden and Ben McMullen turned out to be pretty handy that year.

Fair fine for not turning up at the AGM.
Interestingly there is an Adelaide Warriors listed to play ATCA this year. I wonder if that's a sign they've jumped ship.
Just saw that, and since their ground is listed at LJ Lewis then it's probably fair to assume that it's the same club, given they were based at Northgate last year.

Could well be on the cards, their under 14's tried valiantly to change the semi final as most of their kids played in another comp on the Sunday morning, they even got their local MP to write to the PDCA, I've heard a lot of negative opinions about them but in the two games my lad played against them they were fine in the juniors, very excited and pensive though, the coach yelled out for every kid to pad up after they lost a couple of wickets close to stumps on day one. I played one game for the season and it was against them and thought they were excellent as far as sportsmanship etc. I thought about having a cuppa tea with them after the game.
I wouldn't mind if they moved to turf, i'd certainly be eager to gain use of their ground at Northgate - much closer to our A/B grade ground and literally a couple hundred metre walk from home.

There have been recent media reports concerning the future of the SA Churches and Community Cricket Association. Considering the concerns surrounding the viability of our competition, the club Executive were apprehensive that Para Vista Lutheran Cricket Club may not have a competition to play in. We have played only Churches Cricket. Following the departures of more clubs from the C&CCA, Para Vista Lutheran remained the sole remaining traditional ‘Churches’ club.
Following the Club AGM last night, the members passed a motion, unanimously, to play our cricket in the Para Districts Cricket Association. Nominations have been made to enter two teams into PDCA’s Limited Overs Competitions.
We would like to congratulate Ian Martin on his appointment as our Club Captain. He brings a new and fresh face to the leadership of our A-Grade. Brenton Starke will continue in his role as our B-Grade Captain, ensuring everyone grows in cricket.
This season, the club’s 40th, holds great potential as the club moves into a new era. The Senior Executive remains steadfast in our pursuit of growth, development and inclusiveness. Whilst we do not yet know what the challenge of a new competition will bring, I am confident that with all members on board, we will bring success back to Goat Paddock.
Scott Brown President.

Benny will definitely be at EP this year as long as things stay the way they are suppose to! He doesn’t want to play against riverside and he doesn’t want to play division 2.. So given riverside definitely go down like they are suppose to, he will come across, which he has always said.
But I heard the other day central United are a good chance of having no cricket at the club this season, which means riverside would stay up and instead of Benny coming across, woody will instead.. One of the 2 will be at EP this season, if not both of them!

Tell him hes dreaming!
CU were at the AGM and they've nominated 3 mens teams and 1 womens same as last year.
Maybe if someone from EP could be bothered turning up you would know.

That explains why Woody himself has been texting me just straight out lying then lol obviously you must have more to do with CU than brad does
They don’t have a president and nobody is sticking their hand up to run things this year, hence why he’s saying they are a good chance of not having senior teams at all! Never said it was 100% but that’s what is going on right now, if he’s taking to me about coming across for that reason I don’t see why he would be making that up! Again though, he’s got no idea compared to you right?
I’ll let someone know and hopefully they can be bothered next meeting, save us a seat? Appreciated
