Re: Your poison of choice?
Tried this on a recent trip to Melbourne.
Could only describe the taste as "rather queer and a bit fruity"...

Goes ok, the Furphy.
The addition of the Furphy can, the Pale Ale can and the Pirate Life range in cans has given festivals/outdoor events some decent options to the Draught/VB of old.

Re: Your poison of choice?
I’ve gone full circle.
Tried the craft beers and whilst I have found some I like I’m back on the Carlton Draught(actually I never stopped with these), Melbourne Bitter(only in stubbies) and WED(same again only in stubbies).
Original and the best.

Re: Your poison of choice?
I like Furphy but can only seem to drink 3-4 or them and don't seem to like them as a session sort of beer.
Mind you for one of the first times in my life I got sick of beer over the NY period.

But it's summer!
I'm the same with Furphy, had 3 imperial pints of it a few weeks ago and had to switch.

x3.
I've found them good if I'm the designated driver, just take 3 or 4 and you don't feel like you want 5 and 6 on the back of them.

You can often get a 6 pack of Furphy's for a tenner if you spend a certain amount at BWS. Worth grabbing when you're there to stock up the wine rack. One or two go down just fine out on the patio on a warm evening.
