Re: SAAFL Div 2 & 2R (2010)
Was at the game yesterday and it was one of the best games i've seen for a while. well done to EP, fully deserved to win the game. PHOS/C had their chances but couldnt kick the goals - 3-6 to 3-0 at quater time shouldve seen PHOS with a much bigger league, but EP played a great game and played much better over the last 3 quarters to win the game.
It was great to see the EP supporters charge onto the ground when the siren sounded to celebrate the win with their players, but it was very disappointing to see half a dozen EP supporters run pass the PHOS full back and slap him on the back of the head. Up until then the supporters had been vocal and behaved (to what i could hear and see) but when i saw supporters run passed the PHOS fullback and hitting him on the back of the head it showed that some of them are still idiots.
Like i said, well done and congratulations to EP for winning the GF, well deserved and very well played on the day. Pity a few supporters were idiots after the win.

You wont find anyone has a problem with Eastern Park winning the GF and its credit to the club for turning their reputation on the field around. But no one is sad to see the end of them and not have to play down their next season.

Ex PHOS player Adam Beauchamp got a flag with Berri on the weekend. Never seen a man so drunk in my life.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Re: SAAFL Div 2 & 2R (2010)
I reckon the selector of the team of the year might have a couple of our players confused. He has Todd Blacksell named on a HFF pretty sure he would have spent 20 minutes forward all year if that. Think he might be thinking of Aaron Bergsma. Todd deserves to be in it but a back flank might be more appropriate.

Anyone heard anything r.e. next year? I hear for Iggies that Atkinson and S.White will not be going around next year but are actively trying to recruit some players for depth.

Who'd be doing that??
i've got a couple of very strong suspicions but it'd be unlikely to ever know exactly who it is.
there's been 5 that i know of and i'm out of the loop now.
sh!ts me to no end when this happens after lots of hard work to get a club going.
also makes me laugh when you go to delegates meetings and have to listen to the endless bullsh!t about how tough it is to run a club, and it comes from the clubs that are trying to flog your players.
i'm confident our lads will stick together.

Re: SAAFL Div 2 & 2R (2010)
Quality solidly-built, mid-sized forward, won the Div 2 goalkicking this year. Good luck trying to pry him away form Eastern Park after they've gone up to Div 1 though.Bum Crack wrote:Does anyone have any info on a Tom Hamilton?? How does he go etc??

Who would go? Doubt many from this yrs Blacks side would cut it at Div 2 level (A Grade)

possibly 2 or 3 could give it a decent crack but there's never any guarantee is there.

Also did a pre season with Central last season, they were extremly impressed with him but due to private reason he couldnt continue on with them so went back to EPFC.
Is already running around every Thursday night with the lads at Dwight reserve, he wont be going to any other club.

Isn't Parish at Walkies sprint? Could he be the one trying to get some mates across?
