We don't have the depth, that's the problem - unfortunately with Warriors leaving and OTH requesting to drop down we have been shoved up the grades.

In fact at the moment struggling to work out how to fill sides - not many want to commit to playing 2 day cricket, and especially going up grades they're ******* soft cocks.

Missing half the A grade from last year as well hurts.

Going to be a long year.

Expect it should be out today sometime.. has been an issue with ground availability - number of clubs are getting new pitches installed I believe so can’t play home. Makes life very difficult then.

I must say, it's pleasing to see only one B grade team in Grade 2 and only two A grade teams in Grade 3, FWIW, I don't think the Pirates will lose a game in Grade 3.

We played the Pirates in a T20 trial the other week, some handy sorts in their lineup - Reciszen and Lovett will cause plenty of headaches for batsmen, as will Grimmond if he plays regularly. Batting looked bit thin, but Baulderstone, Oakley and Lipson looked handy enough.

Whether they go undefeated though i'm not sure, but they should definitely be closer to the top than bottom.

As for Enfield, may as well pencil us in for a few spoons - looked at our squads this morning, everyone wants to play D grade one dayers, I've only got 5 players available for B grade at the moment 9 players from last years A/B grade finals U/A

Yeah just another quick look over the list and if they can get a full strength side together they'll prove hard to beat - certainly look to have an abundance of capable bowlers.

Even with the lads getting on board, plenty of work ahead of us if we want to be the best team in division 1.. The signs are looking promising so far though, good numbers at training, everyone wants to be a part of it! Even our B grade will be run properly this year with hopefully 11 decent players out there! The Woodward and Mcmullen clearances should both be in by now Just for the record
