Saddened to learn of the passing yesterday of Chris Butler
Chris was a ruckman for West Torrens 1961-1963 (89 games) playing in the era of Dick Reynolds as coach and players such as Lindsay Head, Geoff Kingston, Neil Hawke, Bob Morrell, Bob Shearman, Freddy Bills just to name a few.
Chris had only recently undergone the amputation of his second leg.
Condolences to his family

Re: Vale Chris Butler
Sad indeed.
I remember Chris in his playing days, always thought he was a good competitor.

I wish my remembering was as good as my forgetting

Re: Vale Chris Butler
I remember him wearing number 4, and I checked 'Best of Both Worlds' which has him playing 80 games (1961-63; 1965-67; 1970), kicked 29 goals.
