Heard the other day that another quality former HV junior has committed to return to us for 2011. That's great news for the club and more good work done by Charlie and Jars
2011 Training starts 6.30pm Tues 11th at Ardtornish Primary School (due to 20/20 cricket at HV) then back at Hope Valley on Thursday night.

Bring it on!!!!!
is it true that your leading goal kicker from last year voiced his concern about the number of quality recruits that may hinder his chances of him a) backing up his efforts and B) compromising his a grade spot?

Was there a problem with the discipline at plympton under the previous coach?? The team on paper looked stronger than the previous season but didnt translate to the field. I heard that the coach was good with junior players. Jabber could you shed some light??

Why is this year different?? Lots of new players or just the new coach and maybe a new attitude will this be the difference?? I hear that the new coach will not take any s*** from anybody and will be tough on the track. Also is very good with juniors coming through.

i reckon it was a lack of application on the task at hand... commitment to training by senior players was well down and i felt communication between players coach was off... we seemed to have trouble getting a consistant 4 quarter effort. also on a week to week basis.... when it got hard and we were challenged we went missing on most occasions... but there seems to be a buzz round the place so hopefully turn it around... GO U DOGS 2011
It seemed as if they thought it was all just going to happen, and it all just didnt.
Thats it, in a sentence.
And they were not ****** off enough when they lost, it shits me in any sport i play if i see team mates smiling after losses, even a few hours later. If i were (good enough, and not 30kg overweight) playing in that side i would have gone mental, because 30 minutes after the game had ended some of the players were playing around and giggling like 5yo school children.

A loss hurts definately but for how long do you sook afterwards Bulldog????
I believe that the team should be very hurt by a loss but also it is not be the end of the world, so not long after your shower you should be looking at attoning for the defeat next week! Oh i forgot 90% of the players at plympton don't even have a shower after the game they all have to go home and get mum to give them a bath!

If your a side that is 'supposed' to be amongst the best in the div i would say a loss should hurt until at least preso's, after that move on, so whats that 3hrs? 3hrs to me is the required time to be pissed at losing a match. Unless you personally played a stinker, or you single handedly lost them the match in the dying seconds, and then you must forfiet your night and be ****** off all night.
Thems the rules.
