Our only comment regards James, is that there was a commitment between us based on assisting him get full time employment and an estimated offer made several weeks ago. Our position hasn't changed, we played our role in assisting him find full time employment as promised, and the original playing offer has remained unchanged. Last week, James advised that offer is now not enough, and the only way we could have met James's request was to reduce the contracts of other players who had already signed, and we were not prepared to do that. It's disappointing to see a champion of the club playing elsewhere, but we have no issues with James seeking an alternative club, that’s his right and decision to do so

This is why I don't like to see clubs making comments like this at the start. North are now in a slanging match with one of their triple Magarey medallists. Clubs will often be unhappy with decisions guys make to move on and their reasons for doing so. But however this ends, North only come out without losing face by making no comment to begin with. Whether right or not, North have come out and basically called Allan a greedy lying traitor.

Simply put they told him they would look after him saying just wait till after the draft and we will pay you a reasonable figure and not that bull crap $2500 per game and after they secured the two ex north afl listed midfielders they basically offered him a offensively low figure basically telling him that they had the midfield covered without having to say they did with there crap offer . NAFC at its finest !!
