with 14 overs remaining, i would have thought the time would be perfect to make them follow on, not as if you are going to be slogging it out in the field for another whole day before a break
theres 195 overs left on the match bat for 50 at 4 runs and over be 470 in front and then have 130 overs to roll them

if the lads had of sent queensland back in, and managed to wrap it up early, there would've been a good opportunity to celebrate the win on the gold coast!

I am with you, gave away a big advantage.
After rolling a good batting team for 135 the bowlers would have been full of confidence and wanting to rip into them again.
It's tough knowing when to declare, if you dob them again it takes away the guess work.
A great performance anyway and the 6 points are there for the taking.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

With no interruptions this was the right call. If we lose time due to weather though it'll look very silly. But you definitely don't want to concede the advantage of bowling last if you can.

They are playing at the Gabba not the sub continent.

We would still be bowling last if we sent them back in. They are a very ordinary side and we wouldnt of had to bat again

Redbacks have not got too many things wrong this season, have faith

Also remember they have another game starting next week and it would be worse if our bowlers had to back up again and then get bowled into the ground. That would ruin them for the rest of the season.

Spot on.

Plus Sayers and Putland are nursing their way through as it is. Back-to-back innings would be a big ask.

Good decision to bat again...play them out of the game, let the pitch wear a bit, so Botha can chuck a few at em. ;)

What? These bowlers haven't had to bowl a ball in anger since mid-December!

So it's not the reason I would have batted again, but I would certainly have batted again. Make sure you can't lose before you try to win.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.
