I met him last night. He was at South. You would suspect a few recruits to come with him. Still moves alright himself. Seems like a nice guy
Brett Backwell to be his assistant..... [emoji6]
Suspect he will be bringing any ex Edwardstown/Blackwood players with him.
Brett Backwell... Good bloke, I went on a bender with him a few years back had a few interesting stories about Carlton..
"The Mouse" is another one who is down at the Bay on a Friday night playing AFL 9s "The game for everyone". Had the pleasure of playing as a forward with him in the midfield a couple of weeks ago. Just how big a bag of goals I kicked is neither here nor there but fair to say he is still in top nick, has sublime skills and super competitive. Surely will be playing as well as assistant coaching and will rip it to pieces.
The PNU Falcs 2005,06,13 x 2,14 and Div 1 Premiers in 2019......The SA 3peat - 2003,04,05

Tough ask but would be an amazing achievement by the club to win 3, 2, 1. Who knows with the list they had last year, if they can retain majority of those players and maybe add one or two big men, I would seriously consider them as a threat to this division.
Didn't Modbury have a fair run from Div 5 - Div 1 (not all consecutively, but 3 of them might have been)..?

Woodville South went Div 5 to Div 1 I reckon
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet *I apologise to Hope Valley people in advance, no offence intended

And Woody South went the other way just as quickly.

If any side can do it its PNU next season. Macca is the best coach in the amateurs and we have some awesome talent. Not going to be easy, but we are lucky to have Macca at the helm to guide us.

I don't think so. You name a better coach than Macca?
Trent Mills....
He hasn't led his club to relegation in his time.
Maybe Mills then, but after that Macca is awesome and the best after him. He even does the juniors at PNU. He should be the state coach of the U23 side IMO the way he coaches juniors. He would teach those U23 guys how to play better than anyone. He's been there and done that.

Fair point but in saying that I also don't know too many coaches who have taken a club from Division 4 to 1, back down to 3 and back up to 1. Started with completely different sides so its impossible to compare.
I'm not, but when we're comparing coaches based on performances at the highest level and someone comes in and tries to claim a bloody juniors flag, I think they're grasping as straws a bit..
c'mon!
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit
Not that interested in arguing the point (because who is a better coach is obviously subjective as all hell and I doubt that anyone has spent time under both Mills and Macca to make an assessment [paging the Milky Bar Kid]). On record alone obviously Mills by the length of Flemington Straight. Record however only tells part of the story because the best coach in the world can only do so much with the wrong cattle and vice versa.
Discounting junior flags, particularly under 18s flags from any consideration is a bit churlish though because obviously the strength of the juniors and in particular the strength of the Under 18s is directly related to the overall strength of the Club
