Re: SA vs My Foot Dr Bulls
So what happens if/when hughes comes back?
Assuming McDonald can bowl, which he didn't in this match, but if he can I Reckon they drop mennie and McDonald moves down to 6 and hughes opens.
Otherwise who misses out?

HOME
if mcdonald can bowl then mennie comes out for hughes.
Richo also ahead of putland.
Zampa and botha wont play together at all grounds.
Mcdonald may be managed with his injury.

Exhibit A. That is why four day/test match cricket is and always will be my favourite form. Love it!

Sayers or Ferguson?
Dead Heat IMO but probably go to Sayers 9 wickets on the Adelaide Oval Road is superb

Sayers with ease.
Much harder to take wickets on a road than make runs. Oh and a hatrick helps

Have you not learnt anything from past experience?
I wouldn't call it with 3 runs to go and 8 wickets in hand.
Past experience?
What are you on about ?
When was the last time a SA Sheffield Shield team had 40 to get with 8 wickets left and lost ?

Well this is the team that lost 10 wickets for 29 runs and conceded first innings before lunch on day 1, in the last 15 years....anything is possible
Their coach at the time claims they had ASADA turn up after the end of day 1.

Whats so funny ?
Question remains when was the last time SA chased 40 and lost ?
Might have happened a very very occasional time in Sheffield Shield history
I certainly CANNOT remember it happening , but I might be wrong
Just admit it was a stupid post

For this match, of course.
Will be interesting how the teams play out their tactics as the season progresses.

Losing the toss and bowling first without Sayers 6/fa in the second innings means the game limped into being a draw. He did the hard hards on a flat deck to set up the win for the boys. Ferg just did what he gets paid to do, make runs on a flat deck.
