Re: SA v NSW D/N Nov 8-11
7/134 [50]
Ludeman 4*[42[
Zampa 12*[17]
Ferguson-Cooper-Head
3 very good free scoring batmen
Between them they faced 35 balls for a combined total of 0 runs
Somerville and Okeefe have taken 5/50 [34]
Knowing how good the 3 SA betters are,
This deck MAY be a 4th day turner , or assisting spinners ?

Re: SA v NSW D/N Nov 8-11
Need one more batsmen, Botha and Ludamen (great effort) aren't that reliable with the bat. Surely cosgrove and hughes open and McDonald slips down to six

Pink balls
Night cricket
Any team that loses under those circumstances can be partially excused , as these conditions are not the norm
Yeah , capitulating for 161 , is very disappointing
BUT
No need to panic as are 1-1 after 2 games
2 results at the AO is heartening , even though declarations set up both wins
If we continue to have results , and win our share at AO , it might set up SA for a final later this season
Picking 5 batters, sure is a gamble on face value , but allows an extra bowler
SA gets to play 2 spinners this way, and both spinners are contributing

SA v NSW D/N Nov 8-11
Disappointing loss, especially considering that was a third or fourth string NSW side. Off the top of my head they are missing Warner, Clarke, Haddin, Smith, Watson, Henriques, Cummins, Maddinson, Bolinger, Hazelwood, Copeland and Lyon

5 bowlers and we still can't bowl them out twice.

Good point !
BUT
Its a reasonable formula to take 20 wickets in 4 days

He probably would be because he is a bit like that.
I guess we are all hoping he has grown up a bit because he was a dickhead. Word us that he hasn't and this looks to be an epic balls up from SACA in getting him back here.

Yes we need to look at the batting depth. The issue is we want the 2 spinners which is ok, but Botha just isn't good enough with the bat.
Im not sure what the solution is.

McDonald has to bowl as an all rounder otherwise you have to leave him out IMO
