Same happened with me recently. Perhaps a change of backup battery?

Why not call it the orange box?

Because the early versions were black. It's one of them just coz explanations as to why it hasn't changed.

More likely that "black box" was originally used in the systems engineering context - ie the interface is designed so that the inputs and outputs are known but the plane (or anyone else) does not require actual knowledge of the inner workings.

Another fun fact - it was actually invented in Australia, by David Warren at DSTO (DSTO ftw)

. I got my chicken pox at the grand old age of 28 back in 2001. My doctor said it was the worst case he's seen in a long time and said I had absolutely no chance of ever getting them again! I think I may have made them worse as I (unknowingly) came down with them on Australia Day, so went to the cricket in 40 degree heat and lasted 2 overs before going home. Next day I was COVERED.

On a different topic, has anyone noticed this website takes a lot longer to load nowdays or is it just me? It appears to have something to do with the ad at the top of the page.

Pretty sure you don't. It's a once off one dose vaccine. That is what my Microbiology textbook says anyway.

It's not my field of expertise, as I never practised as a GP.
I've never had Chicken Pox, nor any immunisation for it, but I do have antibodies to it.
That suggests I had some sub-clinical exposure to it in my childhood without getting ill, and that the antibodies last a long time..
(Same with Mumps.)

That seems an acceptable enough answer.

I need to know why it's called Chicken Pox in the first instance. It's not like we get it from CHickens...

It should be called People Pox.
