LMAO that is brilliant dude. This is how I feel after luck sticks her beak in and causes a SC loss. :)

Need Kennedy to outscore Priddis by 25 for an unlikely victory.

24 pre scaling! Suspect Priddis will get scaled up, not sure about JJK

Amazing Q man.

I thought I was gone when Squeaky jagged 136 from McKernan. then I blew 35 points benching McDonald over Simpson to take Brodie Smith's score. Fortunately Hamling and Yeo flopped in the last game to get me the win.

Should be an interesting GF, our teams are quite different, 10 uniques I think.

Do you have Hodge? I reckon he's goneski.

Hopefully I get Armitage and Picken back.

Must admit the trade-in of Kennedy got me over the line today, but Roflsburger went very conservative by copying my VC and C selections. Could've backed his own intuition and got a better result than I did with Dangerfield.

Which is what I did (copy your captains) in the Lobster League too!
I was lucky there that NicNat and Priddis just got me over the line - my decision to save my 3 trades (and 190k cash) almost looked very silly  ! Hoping for HEAPS of carnage now over the next two weeks so I can move up the rankings a bit more!

I was looking at trading NicNat back in until the Thursday night carnage.

HOGG Premier League Preliminary Finals

1st Preliminary Final
Q Before You 2371
Ben Rolfsburgers 2367

2nd Preliminary Final
Has Been 2449
Squeakeroos DTC 2347

Q has been behind the eight ball nearly all season but in the last few weeks he's been racking up wins and is in the frame to pocket his second Hogg Premier League premiership. In the other corner we have Has Been who have qualified for their second Hogg Premier League Grand Final in a row after getting rolled by Cork in the Ocean last season.

If I was One Club Player I'd be a bit nervous about Q Before You because when nothing goes wrong they chalk up a massive score and even when things turn to shit the lucky bastard sneaks over the line by literally a kick. We could have used Q Man out there for the Catters the other night with his ability to close out games.

Bad luck to Ben Rolfsburgers who have had another unsuccessful finals tilt. Poor buggers can't seem to buy a win in the finals although it looks as though he went conservative on the weekend which may have cost him victory. Squeaky's best ever Hogg season has come up short but he finishes with a credible 14-6 record but Has Been were a little too hot on the day.

Hogg Premier League Grand Final

Has Been vs. Q Before You

Teams

FWD Swan D Martin R Gray H Bennell B Goddard T Mitchell
FWD Swan D Martin Dalhaus R Gray Higgins J Kennedy
MID Dangerfield Pendlebury Fyfe Rockliff JP Kennedy Treloar Hannebery Heppell
MID Dangerfield Pendlebury Fyfe Rockliff Sloane Armitage Griffen Hanley
RUCK Goldstein Naitanui
RUCK Goldstein Gawn
DEF H Shaw Hodge Newnes Simpson McDonald Hibberd
DEF H Shaw Hodge Picken Newnes Houli McDonald
I/C Ryder Read Lambert B Smith
I/C Daniel Read Krakouer H Goddard

Q Before You in Blue. Two pretty even teams in this one. In the FWD and DEF it looks like Q has the edge but I like Has Been better in the RUCK and in the MIDS. A lot will depend on the availability of Tom Mitchell and David Armitage. The word on Mitchell is another week at this early stage and Armitage has a shoulder problem with St Kilda not really needing to risk one of their best midfielders. Q will be hoping the Saint ball magnet plays so that he can make the call on Hodge and possibly think about upgrading Hanley who you wouldn't back to make a good score against an angry Hawk combination.

Head to Head

This is the first final between these two teams. So far Has Been has defeated Q Before You in both of their previous meetings. Q Before You is appearing in their third Grand Final in the Premier League after sharing the honours 1-1 with Captain Who? This is Has Been's second straight Premier League Grand Final after losing to Cork in the Ocean last year.

The Word

Has Been has been the better team all year. Has Been has outscored Q all year long. Q has question marks in midfield. So who wins? All logic says Has Been but there has been a sense of destiny about Q Before You's late run and seeing as my tipping has defied logic all season I'm selecting Q to win his second Hogg Premier League title. My tip - Q Before You by 23 points.

It's all about the timing ... I got 2440 last week

Anyway, ifs and buts don't change that my team went missing when I needed them

Good luck to Q and Has Been this week
