In at least one test an Australia batsmen will out score the entire West Indies side.

Not denying that mate, the Windies are the saddest cricketing story of my life, probably the saddest sporting story full stop.

I can't remember the last time a test team lost a tour match, although admittedly most aren't allotted four days. It would be embarrassing losing to most states, let alone a team where half the players haven't played a FC match before.

Pretty sure it happened fairly often through the late 90's and 00's when a 2nd and 3rd Australian X1 would have been the next best teams in world cricket

Based on the fact I have $150 on Australia winning 3-0. Me betting against teams tends to lift them

I simply can't see any other result. The fact Australia's team is a little unsettled I think actually hurts the Windies as you have 5 or 6 guys who need to perform to cement spots in the team moving forward. I expect no mercy to be given by the likes of Burns, Marsh x 2, Voges, Siddle, Pattinson and when Uzi returns I'm certain he will be looking to carry on his rich run of form.

Complacency is our only enemy and I think this group is hungry enough to prevent any issues with that.

Put simply, this Windies group lack the talent to be competitive against Australia at home.

Batting is thin and will rely on Bravo, the captain in holder and the aging Samuals. They have guys who have shown talent in previous series but only in patches.

Basically alot will rely on a few to be competitive. Holder is going to have a massive role for them in all aspects.

You'd have to think the Bellrieve pitch curator has got the call from CA to flatten it and try and make the game reach a fourth day. If there is some juice in at and we bowl we will have them all out well before tea on day 1.

Regardless I'm still looking forward to next Thursday even if it is just to find out how bad they really are.

I don't believe the West Indies are as poor as what that warm up game suggests. From a batting perspective they'll struggle but their bowling attack will perform better against the Aussies than New Zealand's did.

I don't believe the West Indies are as poor as what that warm up game suggests. From a batting perspective they'll struggle but their bowling attack will perform better against the Aussies than New Zealand's did.
