I guess the difference is that Iceland are playing for pride and the shirt. Our £300k per week arseholes aren't interested in pride or the shirt when they'll take in £15m a year

Yep, and the odd times that Iceland got into our box they looked like they might score.

I'm actually not surprised at the result as I had them going out in the group stage.

They beat the Dutch home and away to qualify so they are a vastly improved side. Hope they can beat the Frogs next

Half the team are farmers

Dentist.

Are they farmers? I thought only one of their players actually played in Iceland, the rest were elsewhere.

I read "Close the borders now before the team gets home"

According to the squad listed on Wikipedia all players are registered with Overseas Clubs. The last Iceland based player to be in a squad was a goalkeeper back in March and was an unused substitute

Some of them play in decent leagues and make good $.
The manager who is the brains behind them has over 30 years experience and was in charge of Sweden for several WC's so is no mug either

Heard Stephen Rowe talking about Iceland's win on 5AA this morning. He compared it to Henley Sharks, who haven't won a game this year in Amateur League, beating the Adelaide Crows. What a peanut. While it was against the odds, Iceland have well and truly established their credentials by topping their qualifying group and performing well in all games at Euro 2016. Iceland are just re-inforcing what Leicester City achieved and the age old point that a champion team can beat a team of champions.

Yep, hate it when those peanuts talk soccer as they are clueless.
Iceland has put structures in place to lift their football standing and they have soared up the rankings in the last few years. Finished top of their qualifying group and beat the Dutch home and away and then at the champs finished second and the group without losing a game. They are a vastly improved side
