Bays two flags this year, North one, Sturt one, we're the best club in the SANFL....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I'm pretty sure Marty Mattner is the 1st former student from my school to either play or coach in a SANFL flag, well done to the boy from KiKi

One of your premiership players was here for my daughter's 18th Friday night, he's dating one of her friends, another cheerleader from North

Maybe the Eagles' injuries last year weren't the reason they lost?? As has been suggested ad bloody nauseum since!!

Well done to Mattner, could be a future AFL coach, so lucky he got out of Adelaide and learnt how a successful club operates

Eagles wasted their early dominance. Sturt clearly better for three quarters. Premiership well deserved and Jack Stephens a deserving Jack Oatey medallist.
Incidentally doesn't Robert Oatey look just like his old man?

Mattners a freaking genius as a coach, AFL clubs should be lining up for him to get him in a role of some sort.

Hopefully they play the Bays. I'm sure that both teams would find a way to lose...

Re: 2016 SANFL Grand Final - Sunday Sep 25 (Adelaide Oval)
A bit left field, but does always playing GF's in front of crowds heavily in support of the opposition partially explain the poor GF record?
Sturt too good today. To win a flag a lot of things need to fall into place. Two of those being the umps throwing the whistle away today (not uncommon in a GF) which favoured Sturts physical approach (of which I doubt Brenton Phillips would approve) and of course being presented the luxury of a training run in a Prelim.
But hats off - they won it fair and square today.
Where does this leave Godden?

Re: 2016 SANFL Grand Final - Sunday Sep 25 (Adelaide Oval)
Well done Sturt.
Great GF for three quarters, thought Sturt were too cautious early on but then when the game was on the line they were prepared to take it on whereas the Eagles weren't either on the field or in the coaches box.
Like last year too many half-half games whereas 19-20 contributed meaningfully for Sturt.

Havnt seen any of it and as much as it pains me to see the shirtlifters win, hats off to them and its great to see the LPR's choke again.
Unfortunately the GF was without the biff that our Vic counterparts had today

May be other reasons why they lost today as well, one Rhett Biglands scathing on MMM about the behaviour during the week of a few Eagles players, out and about and enjoying life evidently. Believe more will be heard about this
