Wasn't meant to be disrespectful towards McPherson or his ability as a coach - just highlighting that he inherited a squad that had been a very strong side in this division for the past few years, unlucky perhaps to not earn promotion already, and then they added to that already strong side - success in Div 6 with that group of players was almost a formality.

It's not like he took over a mid table team or a rabble and turned them from pretenders to contenders.

Matty is a very good coach. Yes they were already a good side but he added a couple to the squad by coming back to coach and gave them the depth needed. Big loss to the club if it happens.

Galvanised them? They've been on the cusp of a premiership for a few years, and added some more depth to their squad this year - anyone could've been at the helm and brought the same results each week.

Do agree it's a big loss if true indeed though, not ideal leading into pre-season.

If true it will be a big loss to the club he brought much needed deft to the club to both the B's and A's they managed to get a C grade team for the first time for a long time ,they were a rabble on and off the ground before he came something no coach could control in the past if it is true you would think they would probably loose player's next year that only came back to the club just to be coached by him. Lets just hope for the club he doesn't quit as it would put a small dent in them winning that much deserved premiership they should have won last year.
