Would the internet speed etc, be just as effective as if there was a Telstra modem, which they could use via wifi?
If they just want to use it around the house, get NBN and connect it via wifi - no need for telstra cellular network
If they want to use it out and about, the easiest thing to do would be to buy a 4g modem from telstra and just connect to that via wifi - or buy one of the more expensive ipads and get a data sim for it

Anyone had one put in recently or know approx cost?
Anyone dealt with the Marion council of late regarding permits/approval of anything? I have submitted a permit to have my driveway crossover replaced with the same specs and wondering how long they take to process it.
Still not sure why I have to apply for a permit to replace 'their' footpath at MY expense but anyway I'll await their response.

I live in Marion area. Had a driveway moved from one side of the property to the other about this time last year. The application was a mere formality and did not take long to process. Letters from the council informing us of our obligations were a bit narky, but dealing with the lass at the council approvals office was easy, she is as sweet as pie.

Cheers for that. Hopefully I hear back from them soon.

Is there anywhere in the metro area that does processing of photographic film and prints? I dug out my old film camera for shits and giggles, and now I can't find anywhere that does processing without sending the film away for 2 weeks. Sign of the times I guess.

Surely somewhere like Diamonds or Teds (?)in Rundle Street would still do it?
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit

Yeah, but I have to go in to town for that.... Somewhere near Marion, Glenelg or Mawson Lakes would be handy.

Last time I went to them with a film they had to send away and it would take a couple of weeks.

How much is it approximately to an electricity bill , by having approximately 100 watt bulb house lights on ? If possible to calculate , how much hourly ?
I might have this wrong, but I understand it to be using 100watts per hour. So based on paying $0.30 per Kwatt hour my answer would be $0.03 each hour.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

It'd be jack sh*t(pun intended).
About 1cent an hour or something similar. There is a website that will tell you exactly per kw and the cost each appliance uses. Google it as it is worthwhile to know.
