Any news on tonight's Ingle Farm trial v Gepps X?

Even more importantly the most eagerly anticipated div 6 debut in the history of the league. Grae Grant

Gepps X won by 5 goals in a pretty competitive hit out for both clubs. Thanks to Vits for the game and best of luck for the year!

Grae had a couple of touches and probably found out he has to go get his own ball in this Div, he will be good for us I think

I pretty much carried him at PNU and he is bound to struggle without me

Any truth to the rumor that sailsbury north are pulling the pin this year? If so who goes up from each grade?

Theyve pulled the C grade that's it. They'll be in Div 1 and Div 1R the A grade won't bottom out but the B grade will be terrible.

Was an interesting argument flying around on Facebook last night haha!! Salisbury North invoking the 3x player rule. flat out denying any 4th or more player who tries to leave the club, regardless of what skill/grade they are

HAHA! That's generally the way these things go! However.. I did keep score

B Grade - 3x 20min periods
1st Gepps Cross 4.2.26 v Ingle Farm 0.4.4
2nd Gepps Cross 10.3.65 v Ingle Farm 0.5.5
Final Gepps Cross 12.9.81 d Ingle Farm 0.5.5

Gepps Cross were very quick and fit in comparison, used the ball quite well and were able to generate good run out of defense. Their forward entry was good - not great - but the Ingle Farm back 6 were very ordinary, and greatly out matched. Too slow, too short, too unfit, the back 6 were made to look silly at times as Gepps Cross continued to take uncontested marks I50.

I would be surprised if Gepps Cross weren't closer to full strength than not though, some of the guys running around would expect will push or play A grade. Spriggs for one, killed us, along with two of their mids and their full forward.

Out of the 24 that played, only 6x were from my B grade side that lost to TOS in the Elimination final last season - rest were literally C Graders, or a couple of U18 kids. Interestingly most of the players who had disappointing games were out of that group of 6 B graders!

Trial games aren't about winning or losing anyway, lot of these blokes are too lazy to train, this is the best and only way to get some sort of fitness in, and have a look at some newer faces plus see areas that we clearly lack in.
