Absolute joke. As Beef said, with the bye before finals, no reason why they can't have this out with the other fixtures.
Then they go and give Hawthorn & the Bulldogs the Friday night game when 1 is 50/50 for the 8 and the other team just about mathematically out of the race. Seriously, what is the point of this floating fixture. Brisbane & North get a Sat arvo game as well. I wouldn't have an issue with how these games line up if it was done with the other fixtures but this just totally doesn't make sense.

It does as the teams more likely to play finals would prefer to play as late as possible on the weekend with there being a bye before finals. Teams unlikely to make the finals would want to get their last game done and dusted asap.
