Be my first Melbourne Cup off for decades Im not working. Its never worried me though as Ive always much preferred Derby Day or the Cox Plate.
Actually I was in Thailand for one but it was run before I got out of bed.
Ill have to work out what to do this year, might go to the pub for something different.

It's annoying as I'm usually the one who rounds up everyone at work's bets and goes to place them, I get to wherever I go and see the luncheons put on and have a little thought to myself about taking the next one off and doing the same, I did apply for Melbourne Cup Day off this morning, I probably just end up at the Reepham though drinking $5 pints all day.

I do not like the new system one bit, I think it's a step backwards from the old multi-ticket system.

One ticket at a time will be a nightmare for front bars around the state on Melbourne Cup day. I suggest getting in and getting your bets on before 11am on cup day.

Yes , we lose every week but as I said theres only 2 of us and my missus is a pom, other tables have 8-12 people.
The only time theres been less than 8 in a team weve beaten them.
Usually around 6 teams.
Its free and good fun.
