Unfortunately I'm hearing a little bit of disharmony in the player group is my mail, as to who stays and goes for league opportunities going forward.

Looks likely quite a few moving on next year. For mine this could mean 2 things, They go out with a bang and win or when the Sturt pressure gets tough they turn in to 'Self-mode' and look after number 1.

To win a flag you need everyone rowing the same way.

Sturt 12-24.
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Plenty of noise about some Magpies reserves players on the move, contracted Magpies mainly.

Isn't this year the last year of the Power Reserves Reserves?

I believe so, from memory, but haven't been able to find anything confirming this.

So the port boys are in party mode. Smells of a poor port performance. What a farce.

Prelim of last year all over again. $$$$

Not sure about that Grub.
Port simply dismantled the Eagles last week, then coasted for half the game. Didn't expend any more energy than they had to.
Sturt really had to work to beat the Eagles yesterday.
I am hoping Sturt can pull out something special this week, Port have shown that they mean business in the manner they stormed into the Grand Final. The Magpie supporters all seemed to be interested this year also. their crowds are up.
The Magpies are a truly well oiled machine, the first half they played against Sturt in the qualifying final was clinical. It was the best half of footy I have seen at SANFL level this year.

I strongly suspect that you want the punters to put some hard earned on Sturt to increase your odds there Grub? ;)
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

You would expect full time professionals to be well oiled. Hopefully we can produce a performance like we did in the second half against port.

Stories of internal discontent to one side, I would expect a strong, committed effort from Port, and given the early demise of the A's, would expect a fairly large bandwagon of supporters to attend. (No different to any other clubs bandwagon brigade by the way.) One thing I give Port credit for is cashing in on the old Magpie SANFL traditions, which despite most of us not buying in to, the Port supporter base in the main have allowed themselves to go along with the concept. A "Magpie" win will keep the wolves from the door for at least another week while the Hinkley saga plays out.
Sturt on the other hand, have worked very hard to turn around a poor start to the season, and have been up and about for a long time now, which gets harder to sustain with every week that goes by. They have fully deserved their GF spot, proving to be too good for the Dogs & Eags in successive weeks, however it looks to me to have taken its toll with players like Reilly & McMahon looking sore. Although the prospect of an AFL reserves team winning the flag makes me feel physically sick, my money is on a Port win.
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

Anyone know if Tim Rogers will be coming over to watch the game? I know he went to a few games at the start of the season whilst playing gigs here but they were struggling back then.

Reckon we'll go into the game a bit beaten up after yesterday's game, will take a huge effort to get over the franchise.
Here's some interesting numbers.

Port Semi final team-
Av age 23.04 years
419 AFL games
16 players from an AFL list

Sturt Prelim team
Av age 23.76
125 AFL games
7 players from an AFL list
