Re: Things that you rate!
I don’t “rate” it in every sense. More relieved than anything, but;
Finally agreed to the sale of our house today, after a long, arduous and financially straining marketing campaign.
Unfortunately my ex and I will incur a financial loss (not a great amount), but I can’t describe the feeling of being able to close this chapter of my life and begin a fresh canvas.
Will move back home and save my arse off in prep for the future. Not thrilled with the idea of moving back in with mum after nearly a decade of independence, but at the same time you have to be thankful for the opportunity to get back on your feet.
Time to tick some goals in 2018.

Mate, you're not the first bloke to get chopped off at the knees, I had to sell my house and I walked away with pretty much a stick with a handkerchief tied to it, I collected my thoughts, spent a lot of time self-assessing and had to suck it all up to face starting life all over again near 40.
It will be a shock to the system, enjoy the opportunity to spend time with your mum and use it all to your advantage, your life will be better off for it after a few months, you'll learn to love it.

Re: Things that you rate!
Split ups often turn nasty, but it helps if lawyers don't get involved...
When my first wife and I parted we managed to negotiate a deal which we signed off on without a battle.
She got 10 acres of land in the hills we had planned to build on, the HK Monaro 327 - Bathurst model - and some cash.
I go the marital home, the Datsun Fairlady, and all the debts. There were no kids so it was a clean and easy break.
She got shitty when 3 months later I traded the Fairlady in on a new 260Z.
( I would have been had the 10 acres proved sub-dividable but I knew it wouldn't be.)
Overall it worked out pretty well.

Finding out who has your back and who doesn't. Sad but freeing at the same time.
There's been a shitload of self reflection over the last month and right now I feel like I can do anything.
I'm here if you need, hun.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

There were a few of them style games I liked, wasn't into ones that killed my controllers though.

Off to Dogfence, hopefully a few Mulliway. Apparently been quite a few caught the past couple of weeks.

Haha, you couldn't script this stuff.
Nice to put faces to the pseudonyms. You know?
