Bit of old news.. but Mansell has put on 35kg during the off season, not much use to any team out side of div 7.. $1600 every Saturday won’t be worth it when 90% of that cash is spent on my drinks for the weekend for him being a flog

I see Brooks clearance to Kilburn has been denied 4 times now. Wouldnt the two clubs talk to each other about how to ressolve it before putting it in again and hoping for them to give in and clear him.

Just out of interest, when is the last time a player has gone back to play at the club that denied the clearance for that year? Can't imagine it happens all that often.

I understand why Brahma is denying it, he signed a contract to stay at the club at the end of last season so they have every right to do what they are doing. But at the same time things change from a players perspective for alot of reasons and i wouldnt say he would be getting offered much more at Kilburn to what he got at Brahma so i dont reckon thats tbe driving factor.

The only way these things get ressolved is if both clubs talk to each other about what can be done to let him move on from the club instead of the endless cycle of put the clearance in and watch it get denied the next day.

From what I’ve been told by brooks, he said Brahma said kilburn would have to offer them a really good price to get cleared, He’s giving that club a few good years of footy and now wants to move on to a higher standard and play with some mates. Money isn’t the reason behind leaving Brahma. The 3 blokes at training and coach leaving is the reason. I understand the contact being signed etc, but why would you want to Make a bloke who captained your club miss a year of footy.

Has this bloke Brooks accepted any $$$ for the 2018 season? Does he owe any $$$ for any previous seasons??

Joss leaving was announced on 14th of Feb but Brooks’ transfer is in the system on the 8th Feb.

Surely that wouldn't have taken a week to get out

Nah he hasn’t accepted a cent. Him and joss are very close so think he may have had word joss was on the move so he wanted to find another club.

So what's the big deal with BL not clearing him to play at Kilburn? If he doesn't owe and $$ and hasn't accepted any $$ he should be able to leave and play for another club. Whether he signs or agrees to a contract or not. Remember we are playing in an amateur league not professional.
