It's a little ironic as one of my mates spent time with him in remand after being wrongly accused back in 95, my mate's case was thrown out before trial.

Anyone see David Koch on Sunrise this morning?

SUNRISE co-host David Koch left his co-stars visibly stunned on-air this morning when he made a reference to slavery during a news item about Jamaican-born athlete Usain Bolt.

Koch was on a panel alongside co-host Sam Armytage, newsreader Natalie Barr and sports reporter Mark Beretta as Baretta read out a story about sporting great Bolt possibly being headhunted from his current position at the Central Coast Mariners Football Club.

“So the Mariners sell him for money, they make a lot of money out of it?” asked Koch.

“It’s a win-win: You keep him, great. You sell him, so be it. That’s the tough world of professional football,” said Beretta.

“Who said slavery was over — anyway. No,” said Koch, stumbling over his words before quickly changing topic.

The cameras soon cut away from the host — but not before the rest of the panel reacted to Koch’s clanger:

So, operation swimming hole has been going along nicely at home. Was cleaned on Friday, treated, all good to swim in.

Pool installer tells me last week that the solar is going up today, all good, no call Friday from installer working out times so I head off to work this morning as we all do. About 8:30 I message the pool installer to tell him no contact has been made, he says he'll get back to me. Moments later I get a call from an unknown number ( Solar I figure )

Him - "Hey mate, I'm here to do your solar, can I put it up on the flat roof at the back of the shed?"

Me - "Um, where are you mate?"

Him - "Standing at your pump"

Me - "How the **** did you get in? The roller door is locked, the double gates have got pins and zip ties holding them shut."

Him - "Through the double gates"

Me - "Go get in your car, I'll be there soon"

Torrensville to Alberton in about 8 minutes, young lad in a ute parked in my driveway "Your boss here mate" "No", he says "just me"

Me - "So you break the **** into my castle? No correspondence, no heads up, you ring me and tell me you're in my ******* yard?"

Over the next few minutes Zach learnt he'd made a bad life choice. I said to him to give me 2 minutes to cool down and when the roller door opens up he can come around the back. Who the **** does that?

He's also installing my solar that I don't want to be done half arsed so after baking him for about 5 minutes I gave myself time to cool off, he came around the back and gave him some zip ties to go and put back on the gate and a hammer to put the pins back in then we could start again.

Yeah, that sucks, had a similar thing with the wife's car and the mechanic who used to be a mate, I had to bite my tongue for a while until I was satisfied the car was totally fixed.
