Re: SANFL Junior codes
Regrading is a joke, and I know players/teams/clubs are well aware of review of divisions following opening rounds and are more than happy to lose early games to either avoid going up, or to go down... I've even seen teams in the past completely mix their positions on field and bench their better players to avoiding by a large margin to avoid scrutiny.
Everyone knows how a junior coach ought to go about it, but reality is once little Johnny's old man steps into that role he suddenly turns into Ron Barassi and will find any small way to gain an advantage. Very very few coaches in the ages U12-16 seem to be completely focussed solely on development - unless they have an average side.
I'd be interested to see how many sides over the years have played in a GF after either dropping down a division or avoiding going up when they should've.

Re: SANFL Junior codes
What you say has merit Moe regarding regrading, but no system is ever going to be perfect.
You obviously have an issue with us, so be it, but we ain't going anywhere, SFL on Saturdays will always be our priority, but when you have 65 kids in the u13/14/15 space how do you fit these into 2 teams? You look for other opportunities and that was the SANFL juniors. Just like Mt Lofty, Blackwood, Angle Vale do from other comps (plus numerous others in the female comps)
We will have a number of u13's in the u14 GF this weekend and these will be boys that miss selection in the Sat SFL u13 semi final, so certainly no stacking going on.

There needs to be rules in place as to which team a player can play in
In a game this year against Angle Vale they had a man mountain off a lad play
who could kick a footy 50 +, checking through previous games the same lad on one w'end played
Friday night in there U/15's in SANFL Juniors, Saturday in there U/15's in APFL
And Sunday in there U/14's SANFL Juniors .

Re: SANFL Junior codes
How is this any different to a college kid who plays Saturday and may have had a SANFL Development Squad game on a Friday night?

This is why I have a problem with your club.
You have named 31 players for the Grand Final. How is that fair for the opposition to plan?
11 of those players are playing in the Under 15 game in the SFL at 9.30 the same day.
4 played 13's in the SFL finals Saturday.
Youve named 26 players in the SFL final. Unfair again to Noarlunga.
You have 65 kids, you tell us.
Name 3 sides and be done with it.

Great effort!
Congrats to Ingle Farm 13’s who won just the clubs 5th Jnr flag, after losing the previous two Grand Finals.

What are you on about Bedge. In 1979 alone Ingle Farm won 6 Junior premierships. I played in 5 Jnr Premierships myself and im sure i didnt play today.

Fair enough was only going off what I was told today.. maybe they meant only 5 since jnrs were reformed back in the 90s.
Last flag was 2011

Re: SANFL Junior codes
Watched u/12 GF yesterday. Pretty good game and as a neutral supporter thought the 2 umpires were pretty good (not sure the crowd agreed with me). Was disappointed that one kid spent the whole game on the bench. I know its a GF but surely every kid should get a run. All the scoring was at one end so could've easily put him at FF if didn't want him around the footy. Still a lot of work needs to be done with junior coaching, the yelling and carrying on from the sidelines was embarrassing, its u/12's not the AFL.

Yep, it's crap and needs to be outlawed. Just keep paying free's against the bench, it's more fun when it's right in front of the bench though.
