Thats right, Certain surgeries (head and Neck) have been moved out of the RAH and sent to private hospitals. Nurses can also register to join "a pool" through SAHealth in order to quickly staff vacancies should admissions rise etc.
PS: Hope all is going well with your new son.

Anyone know or seen a list of job loses anywhere?
What sector/s have taken the biggest hit?
I know it’s early days but the government must have some figures by now.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19)
As at 6:00am on 29 March 2020, there have been 3,809 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Australia. There have been 431 new cases since 6:00am yesterday.

over 30,000 in retail heard this morning
I saw a list the other day, let me see if I can find it again.
Direct impacts:
690,000 in cafes, restaurants and take away facilities.
130,000 in real estate
114,000 in sport and recreation
98,000 in accommodation
92,000 in pubs
52,000 in clubs
51,000 in airlines
45,000 in live entertainment and arts
42,000 in tourism
31,000 in gambling halls
-----------------
1,345,000
Retail is then next section likely to get smashed (many would say already getting smashed), and although they haven't been closed by the government, they are closing themselves as people self isolate or cut back spending due to their own job losses:
150,000 - Retail: Clothing, footwear & accessories.
67,000 - retail: department stores
64,000 - retail: motor vehicles
61,000 - retail: home-wears (carpets, furniture, etc)
48,000 - retail: recreational equipment (sporting, BCF, etc)
-----------------
390,000
Once the economy slows down from the above losses, you'll then see a third wave of hits to the construction and manufacturing markets.
The silver lining is there will be small increases in some fields, such as centrelink call centres, retail grocery and associated logistics, and supplies to work from home. Health care will see an increased demand for labour, however generally requires additional education so not many can make an easy transition into the field. Cleaning services and online delivery services are also expected to see an uptick in employment opportunities.

Then he goes to say that group gatherings now go from 10 to just 2,

May as well, you’re welcome to head to the shopping centres to buy jigsaw puzzles, so surely a hit of tennis won’t hurt?

Tennis is more than 1.5m space between players. Probably could still play footy if he watched you play pag. Never been within 10m of an opponent.

Fair bit of ball fondling in tennis though.

You get the feeling we might be the quickest state to flatten the curve, SA Health seem to be doing a fantastic job in tracing the source of each case.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19)
We were called form SA Health 4 days ago. They let us know our flight back on the 17th from Sydney to Adelaide that there was a known positive COVID-19 result on the same flight. Here we were worrying about our trip home from Korea
Not sure if I said it before but Sydney airport was a disgrace in how they were organised, the system has been put in the spotlight a bit more recently with the cruises and recent travelers back into Sydney, shambles.
Anyway, SA Health ran through questions etc, had a good talk to 'Dean' about our situation etc. He was good. Near the end he said, we will follow up with yours and your wife's phone number daily to see if you have any symptoms developing (my wife had a cough and got tested, she returned a negative result a few days ago). We have not heard from them since
So the system still has some floors. I just hope they're putting their focus on the imbeciles around the state.
On a positive, our adopted son (1.5yrs) is bonding well with us and our little girl (2.5yrs). We officially get out of home isolation midnight tomorrow. but there's not much to do, looking forward to taking the kids and dog for a walk to Semaphore beach.
