Participation would make up a fair whack - blast cricket programs are like $10 per kid per week, CA take $9 of that.. QLD & NT would’ve been running programs over our winter so can only imagine how many kids would’ve signed up.

Also the regular seasons that run through the dry season.

I guess they would’ve lost some money through cancelled carnivals as well.

Wouldn’t take long to add up.

Indoor Cricket over the off season gives them a fair amount of coin for participation numbers but neither would give them enough to keep them afloat. They have saved a lot on their wages currently

SACA reduced staff by 9 and 7 contracted staff were cancelled. Then they reduced hours to many by 20%

Funding to clubs reduced 50-70% is where it will be in my view, club balance sheets will determine how they function, simple as that. Redbacks will see changes in playing personnel and coach and some new potential players from Interstate will filter into grade. CA money will determine coaching reductions, clubs don't pay a lot as is and the CA money will determine what happens with it. Budget 50-70 % reduction in CA Coaching grant I am thinking, all this will mean the possible rationalising of what is done at grade level ie number of grades both senior/junior in my view. What that means for each club and it's ability to continue will be different, SACA need to have bottom lines about club balance sheets put out there early to ensure that if there are any changes to number of clubs it is done quickly so competition keeps integrity. No Redbacks league would be a big possibility before anything else, change to coach and the culture of SA Cricket is desperately needed so that is a major positive coming to this season.Lot's of talented players who will benefit from a change in coaching direction and new energy amongst the group.

Will Prospect survive current clmate. Brennan to Woodville most local A grade squad shopping themselves around to other clubs. They dont have any depth to cover this
They are in serious trouble if these stories are true

Interesting. Seen a few who are very good and probably worth that to the club and a few who stand at the back and do very little other than stand at the back of the net and tell the captain who to pick in the 1st grade.

If Blewett put the whites on that would give them 2 A grade standard players

Heard rumour Daniel Drew and Brad Davis got Redbacks contracts.

No rookies anymore. Ben Pengelly dropped(ironic after having his best year).

Cricket wont start till BBL apparently, very late start

Need to be recruiting players with better first class averages than 16 for the Redbacks!

Second in NSW Premier Cricket aggregate last year: 719 runs at an average of 59.92. A very good get IMHO.

A pretty handy 97 playing for the CAXI against an NSW team including Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon in this video:

https://www.cricket.com.au/video/ryan-g ... 322_voBrh4

Two of his scores last year were 188 and 186. If he displays the same form for West Torrens as he did for Penrith, we will be pretty happy.

Cheers
