FTR, Clive Waterhouse was in the same classes as me at high school, he played soccer and west a pretty handy track & field athlete but never even tried out for the footy team or even kick the ball with us at lunch, he didn't start playing until under 17's and then was playing league for Port in the SANFL a year or so later.

Donald Dickie played for Central's, Sturt and Norwood in the SANFL, Smithfield, Riverton and Border Districts in local comps before being drafted at 24 years of age, he attended the same school as Clive, he was a freak basketballer.
