Wonder if no player payments was a factor, also wonder if they were in struggle town already - they didn't appear to recruit very well but had a number of players exit.
Interesting juniors is going ahead given they appear to have more expectations/responsibilities placed around them.
Oh well, such is life, extended off season i'm sure they'll come back better next year.
Nothing to do with Player payments being scraped i can guarantee you that!!

Hey Piccachu where are you going to play and any news on other Portland player movements.
Heard the Great Man and Laslett have signed at Largs North
Gonna be some handy players running around in their B grade. Juggling 30 odd points is not going to be easy
Some handy late pickups of late. Koby Evans and Daniel Motlop to Flinders Park and Laslett, Wareing and Moody to Havens. There’s going to be some exciting talent in Div 3 this year. I know the 3 from Portland to Havens played in this Div last year but they’ll be handy inclusions for a strong team with their already handy recruits.

Would I be right in saying this is Havens 1st trip to CBC bubba love. Would have been an experience if it was.
North Haven have played against and been to CBC in three seasons since I've played senior footy- 2008 and 2009 in Div 4 and 2014 in Div 5 like Bubba said above.
It was in 2009 at East Parklands where they gave us an absolute hiding in the A grade. From memory the margin was easily in excess of 30 goals and probably over 200 points but I can't find results from that long ago to confirm the actual score. Does anyone know if you can still look up scores prior to 2013? I swear you used to be able to on the league website?

i reckon you used to be able too when the old iScore system was still around but that subscription has expired and you can no longer see round by round from before 2013

Yeah I think I remember having some sort of link to that, someone on here may of posted it or gave it to me when the league was changing from IScore to Sporting Pulse.
Anyway I did some digging and just found the score on here, just flicked back through the 2009 Div 4 topic. CBCOC 38.14.242 d North Haven 3.2.20 CBC massive winners on that day at East Parklands by a whopping 222 points.

It needs to be put through as a Type 2 Permit with the words COVID-19 in the additional information box. The Permit window for these players stays open until 31 July. Could be a case of the other club incorrectly loading the transfer hence the DENIED and then go back and load it correctly. Unless some players owe money from 2019 and have been DENIED for that reason which is fair enough.
Player has to be registered for Portland too before a permit can be issued.

For a few years now a count doesn't affect the game day score in AdFL until it goes to an Investigation Committee. Umpires need to record what had been scored to that point in the qtr of the count and then things get dealt with during the week. Happened in a C grade game with us and Unley in 2018. Unley kicked 1-1 in the first few minutes of the 3rd qtr with 19 on the field. They won the game by about 3 goals but after investigation they had 1-1 taken off their 3rd qtr score which obviously reduced their final score by the same amount. So they still won the game by 10 or 11 points.
Who would have put money on Flinders Park being 0 and 3 going in to a rampant Modbury in round 4. I had them top 2 at season start. C’mon Parks get it together, still a good side and the back end will help.
