Still won’t bring in the Feds to help & trying to do it HIS way.
This is going to get a lot worse and, being the second biggest state economic wise, he will cane us all.

What is it that the Feds want do that is different to what Andrews is doing?
Not use rent a cops to guard quarantine hotels to start with.
The Feds have offered the services of ADF personnel and Dan decided that he didn’t want them

I know the Vics messed up the quarantine hotels, but that wasn't because they knocked back ADF personnel was it? It was because they used a dodgy security firm. Didnt the offer of using ADF personnel come after the damage was done? In SA we also used private security companies, but also had SAPD involved in the process. I agree the Andrews administration has messed this up, but don't see where he is ignoring advice from Feds. When NSW messed up the Ruby Princess people called for the Health minister to resign, not Berejiklian. In Victoria the buck stops at the Premier apparently .... politics.

The ADF have been providing support since the National Cabinet meeting on 27th March however they cannot assist until requested by the State Governments. There are constitutional issues with it (as was with the bushfire assistance). If a State doesn't want them then its no go.
Victoria did its own thing and went fully private. That is the important issue: Vic Police were not given the prime responsibility.
Yes SA are using private security to assist SA Police but SA Police have prime responsibility. The ADF are subservient to them as well.

In fact, this is what the Premier of Victoria thinks of the ADF (at the 3.00 mark): they are bus drivers in other states

https://twitter.com/9NewsMelb/status/1280613220231806977?s=20

This is what the ADF were actually doing as at 8th April so Andrews is either an idiot or a liar

Andrews has now doubled down. On June 24th he asked for ADF help and then rescinded it on 25th June.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-06-25/victoria-coronavirus-adf-personnel-sent-in-hotel-quarantine/12390486

Now he's using Qantas and Jetstar staff being directed by Correctional Services. He just does not want the ADF in there.

He politicised the Victorian effort from the start and just does not want Fed help. He agrees to measures in the National Cabinet and then does his own thing. Admittedly, they have all done it but he's gone alone on many of the responses.

Re the Ruby Princess; people were calling for both Berejiklian and Hazzard's heads but the left were more intent on trying to blame Dutton so that's where the media went.

The media were also gunning for Jenny Mikakos but she had a horror interview so Andrews does all of the difficult ones to protect her and the government.

Corona Man, can you go for a drive tonight and check this out?
Has to be more to it than Covid, very similar story was getting around about the tents in Central Park New York at the start of covid
Probably bullshit but who knows, one thing is certain, msm wont tell you the truth.
There was also something about Andrews has the Flemington high rise apartments marked for private development, some paperwork was signed in March. they are currently all public housing. Not sure if disease qualifies to have the buildings condemned

It's good to have different personalities on here. We can't all be the same. How boring would that be.

I am amazed that there were 10,000 people at the Melbourne protest and not one of them came from the housing estates with the Covid problem.
