If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 4 - 2020
Ladder after Rd 2
4 - Hope Valley
4 - Pembroke OS
2 - Pulteney
2 - Morphetville Park
2 - Kilburn
----------------------------
2 - Walkerville
2 - Gepps Cross
2 - SMOSH West Lakes
0 - Mitcham
0 - Woodville South
Round 3
Kilburn vs SMOSH
Woodville South vs Morphettville Park
Pulteney vs Gepps Cross
Mitcham vs Hope Valley
Walkerville vs Pembroke OS
Hope Valley and Pembroke the early pace setters, but both with very narrow wins over the weekend - perhaps Morphy Pk are better than first thought, and Kilburn certainly appear to be around the mark.
SMOSH on the board with a win over Mitcham, they're starting slowly but expect them to build., whilst Pulteney comfortably took care of a slow Woodville South side - Cats could do worse than look at a few of the young ones running around in the magoos.
Gepps with a close win over Walkerville to also get their season off and running.
Couple of massive games this weekend - Kilburn and SMOSH have a good rivalry in recent times, and given the Lions slow start to the season, the timing might be perfect for the Chics to knock them off.
Morphy Pk and Hope Valley could both deliver serious blows to the hopes for Woody South and Mitcham's seasons - if they sit 0-3, they may as well plan their end of year trip.. whilst Hope Valley would move potentially within 2 wins of securing a finals berth already.
In the reserves, hard to get a read on the comp at the moment - but Morphy Pk look the weakest link, whilst Pembroke and Woody South the stand outs.. the rest would appear to be pretty evenly matched.

I think we had about 6 or 7 out from last week.

Speaking of U/A players.. are other clubs having the same issues with growing injury lists like we are?Footy Chick wrote:I think we had about 6 or 7 out from last week.
Never have I seen so many blokes go down in two weeks!

Unfortunately, It was always going to be an issue with a two week preseason after being pretty much locked down for almost 3 months. It can actually take as little as 2-3 weeks of no activity to completely undo everything you've done over summer. The Bedge wrote:Speaking of U/A players.. are other clubs having the same issues with growing injury lists like we are?Footy Chick wrote:I think we had about 6 or 7 out from last week.

You can have water runners deliver their personal bottles to them on field.. but no sharing.Footy Chick wrote:they can have drinks, they just have to come to the sidelines to get one

I had 3 games on Saturday, it pissed down for the first one and was warm the other two, it doesn't need to get too high to be warm and needing re-hydrating.Footy Chick wrote:

AFL seem to be losing 3 or 4 players a game, obviously all do do as stated above with the interupted pre seasonThe Bedge wrote:Speaking of U/A players.. are other clubs having the same issues with growing injury lists like we are?Footy Chick wrote:I think we had about 6 or 7 out from last week.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 4 - 2020
Round 3
Kilburn vs SMOSH
Woodville South vs Morphettville Park
Pulteney vs Gepps Cross
Mitcham vs Hope Valley
Walkerville vs Pembroke OS
B Grade
Kilburn vs SMOSH
Woodville South vs Morphettville Park
Pulteney vs Gepps Cross
Mitcham vs Hope Valley
Walkerville vs Pembroke OS
Pembroke the side to beat in both grades, followed closely by a bunch of sides.. reckon Kilburn will get over the top of SMOSH this week, Kyle Parks to have a day out and get 4 kicks in his 150th.
Woody Sth missing a few in their B grade this week, but should handle Morphy's comfortably... whilst I reckon their A grade will struggle to win a game this year.
Yay for footy.. third of the way through the season after this weekend, and should have a better idea over the top 5 sides for each grade.

We had a poor start, they were up by about 4-5 goals for most of the game too.
