Victoria back down to 115 new cases with 15 deaths. Should be well under 50 new cases a day within a week

Doesn’t matter what Gil wants, Dan is adamant that when stage 4 restrictions are lifted in a couple of weeks they will stay in stage 2 or 3 until Christmas and that means no crowds at the MCG.
WA, SA and QLD Premiers have all said Vic border closed until probably Christmas at least so no way are West Coast, Port or Brisbane going to want to do 14 days quarantine after the GF.

Depends on the result, if we get up, we'll just hire out a hotel and have a massive bender.

Dan has just put forward that they are trying to extend the State of Emergency for an extra 12 months through parliament and that the his government has said there is no way the GF can be in Melbourne this year and has requested it be moved interstate

There will be riots in the streets if he tries to get that through...

He said they had to keep it running otherwise it wouldve been lost to Victoria forever.

The sooner the riots happen the better, he needs to be thrown out of government.
There has been court proceedings lodged by a couple of groups now, hope for your sake CM they are successful and it might just save the rest of us going through the crap you are going through.
He lied to get the stage 4 restrictions through saying that 1 in 4 Victorians who were meant to be self isolating at home wernt home, im sure you remember him saying that.
Turns out the police have come out and said that is absolute rubbish, they have only charged 42 people for breaches since the whole thing started back in Feb/March.

Fair call Daisy. The stage 4 restrictions were a deflection from his inept handling of Hotel Quarantine. It's all unravelling now.

Just saw a conference where Police advised they issued 197 fines in the last 24 hours, may have charged only 42 people but have issued 1000's of fines, a huge difference between charging someone with an offence and fining them ;)

In South Australia we currently have 3x active cases, and have had one new case in the last 7 days.

Think we need to tighten restrictions again.

m only going by what the police said in an interview i watched, cant find it now of course. He wa stalking about investigations into positive people not being at home when police called in to check and from that i think 42 were charged after the follow up investigation. Regardless its a far cry from the 1 in 4 that Dan used to bring in Stage 4.
Im sure they are issuing hundreds of fines for not wearing a mask etc, which if the people have any sense, they would signal an intent to take it to court where they are then getting withdrawn.

Can I ask why, it doesn't mean you will be in lockdown until then.
