Third most possessions in the comp this season for memory so I guess that would have him in the votes a fair bit. He was our highest poller in the Magarey alsoam Bays wrote:Contractual win a la Kane Cornes???beef wrote:Richard Douglas and brad McKenzie win Norwood B&F.

Re: SANFL 2020 Season
Rucci saying he expects Godden back at the AFC as a coach in their SANFL side.
Will the 2 AFL side be admitted back . If yes at what cost.

Re: SANFL 2020 Season
2010-2019 decade
Of the 8 clubs that participated this season, 7 of them have won Premierships in this period
The only side that didnt win a flag was SA
2010 CD
2011 WWT
2012 NW
2013 NW
2014 NW
2015 WA
2016 ST
2017 ST
2018 NA
2019 GL
WWT was the 4th different team in the last 4 years to win a flag
The AFL draft is draining considerable talent away from the SANFL
The question is, will there ever be a SA [1890s] PA [1950s] ST [1960s] PA[1990s] CD [2000s] decade dynasty again ?

Re: SANFL 2020 Season
point 1 just roots up the entire comp for A/B games at same location.gazzamagoo wrote:with limited squads, will they be able to field a side?goddy11 wrote:Rucci saying he expects Godden back at the AFC as a coach in their SANFL side.

Point 2 who would play them for real? No one.

Re: SANFL 2020 Season
https://sanfl.com.au/league/news/sanfl- ... -cap-2021/
SANFL has announced that player payments for the Statewide Super League will be capped at $210,000 for season 2021.
The decision by the South Australian Football Commission to reduce the pre-Covid Player Payment Salary Cap from $400,000 follows consultation with SANFL Clubs and is aimed at assisting with their future viability.
Players agreed to play for no money in 2020 due to the significant financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Some players, however, were eligible to access Job Keeper assistance payments.
SANFL General Manager Football Matt Duldig said the reduced payment cap next season, which will exclude Reserves players, was necessary to reduce club costs in line with reduced revenues.
“Both the League and SANFL Clubs have taken a significant hit through loss of revenue streams as a result of Covid,” he said.
“Ultimately we must ensure that every SANFL Club can be sustainable and successful into the future. To do this we must make player payments affordable for all Clubs to ensure an even competition.
“SANFL is hopeful the salary cap can be increased in future seasons in line with the restoration of its revenue streams and those of the clubs as the State’s economy recovers post Covd-19.”
Mr Duldig said the decision to reduce the SANFL Statewide Super League Player Payment Cap follows a decision last month to reduce Community Football player payments for season 2021 by approximately 30 per cent to $2,500 per week for each club.

Re: SANFL 2020 Season
Geezus, that's even lower than I thought it would be.
Now the 8 dinkum clubs will have to spend $13m less than the 2 interlopers, rather than merely $12.8m less.
