Horrid. So our opening bowler (SA gun Darcie Brown) has bowled four overs, must have been good ones

Stick to the white ball game ladies

This is the first time I have watched her closely, I hate her action

How can it get better if they don't play more of it?

She has relied on pure pace in her limited experience, she can tend to fall way slightly trying to get more pace which means she can stray to the legs a bit.

She is only 18 and has a lot to learn on the big stage, she has done remarkably well to get a baggy green in her kit bag already and will take a lot more from the experience.

Perhaps they should be looking at having two day games at district level for the women's A Grade comp, that's if we're going to see more tests being played.

Fair suck of the sav mate, it's not as though she'd be nervous or anything like that.

I guess they should head back to the kitchen too?

The girls win the first of the T20 matches for the Womens Ashes on the back of a massive game from Tahlia McGrath.

After taking 3/26 (4 overs) in Englands 4/169 she then went on to make 91* (49 balls 13*4 1*6 ) as Australia make 1/170 with Meg Lanning 64* (44).

I love how our Womens team represent Australia, they play with skill, they're humble, respectful and I reckon we should all be proud of them.

Unlike the men they look like there's no egos running around needing a massage.

Next T20 is tomorrow at AO.

The women's game is much much more watchable than it used to be, now that most of them can hit boundaries.
Ive actually enjoyed watching women's cricket the last 2 seasons.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Will Alex Mcgrath be the next Ellyse Perry ?

England batted very well, Australia even better

I thought the battle for The Ashes was test cricket.

Healy gone for a pair, hasnt scored a run all summer, time to move her on

9th wicket partnership of 100 for England has put them right back in this match

Not in the women's game it's not. Red ball cricket is only played at international level.

No domestic first class system for female cricket exists in any country

Time and Covid permitting
Could they have 4 day games in a knockout carnival format for the states
Or something with a 4 day format

Bit of a sill sporting declaration by the Aussie leaving england around 260 to get in just under 2 sessions

Currently having a real dip at 2/166 with 15 overs left

In fairness women’s cricket probably needs skippers to set up exciting finishes to try and generate extra interest in the sport.

Terrible field placement with less than 2 overs to go.
