Re: 2022 Adelaide Footy League - Division 5
CLG lucky Bedge won't be visiting this season. No bbq and no beer - only options were pies (butter chicken or pepper) or an $18 pizza while copping abuse from whatever function was going on upstairs. KFC got a fair workout by the Hectorville guys on their way home.
The footy was a good contest though. B's and C's were quite scrappy but close contests and the A's had some heat in it.

Re: 2022 Adelaide Footy League - Division 5
Bar was open all day upstairs, our canteen worker is under 18 hence no alcohol. There was plenty of pies in the warmer when I got mine at 2pm.
No bbq was to give our volunteers the arvo off as most are sponsors and were attending sponsors day.
Not sure anyone from heccies should be commenting on crowd behaviour after the disgraceful scenes in the under 15 grand final in 2020
Too good in the A grade, was a good contest up until the last quarter

Not that I knew but I thought we had no bbq because everyone would have had one at their polling station

Pizzas were meant to be very good, half price with a RAA card

So it was retaliation for something that happened 2 years ago in a juniors match? I'm sure our runner, trainers and B's lads who wanted to come up for a beer appreciated it.
Certainly understand the volunteer aspect of not having a bbq. Just weird the players couldn't get a beer after the game. But like I said, the footy was good all day, all 3 sides evenly matched.

You could get a beer, just needed to go upstairs. There was a sign that said that, I know it was there because I put it out.

CLG don't serve beers - only Chardonnay and Champagne.

You’re not far wrong, especially if you add red wine and white eggs

How did EP go today? Pretty sure they would have got up for their courageous captain’s 150th.

Looks like a day to forget for EP. Quick to pounce when they win tho!!
Having no depth must be a real struggle at times.
Win some, ya lose some, that’s footy!!

#bleedredandblue wrote:One of the biggest crowds I’ve ever seen at an amateur league game on Saturday @ Dwight reserve! Huge success for Eastern park celebrating our 60th anniversary, and got the result we were after in the A grade.. 15 goals but could have easily been 20+ if we kicked straight
Elizabeth entire team were scared and fragile, never seen so many blokes run away from the football or the ball carrier in my career, they won’t win another game until the round starts again.. Was honestly so easy to see that they did not want to be out on that field on Saturday, massive reality check and expect them to have a couple tough nights on the track this week
“Wont win another game until the round starts again” Haha Geez, Pretty sure that’s EP right now!!
What a silly thing to say and can’t even back it up with their own game. Wowee!!!!!
“Expect them to have a couple tough nights on the track this week” Oh lord!!!
