Unsurprisingly I was a Kiak (sp) wearer and would buy them again if they were still available

I can't find a picture of the old kiak's anywhere. They were really comfortable and completely bereft of fashion.

Kayaks and Rome's didn't last me 2 weeks at school. Handball after school ate them up. A pair of Reebok pumps I bought on the other hand lasted me 10 years plus.

Don't remember black ones, just the white Rome's with blue stripes, went through the sole and side of them literally in minutes so never bothered again.
